– but yes, I have taken the plunge and ordered (and paid for) a brand new R3M std. walnut cal.22. As there are no Edgun representatives in Norway, I have been dealing with Ed directly……
I also ordered a multishot breech to fit on my single shot R3s…….. 😉
So now the wait begins……. 😥
But this time I am at least prepared for the worst. I don’t expect to get it until towards late autumn………
I’ll keep you updated though, and again shipping is the most difficult issue I think………

Hi all,
This is the explanation received from Ed a few minutes ago:
Ed is mixing up “breech” and mags in the above, – but apart from that I find the explanation reasonable. Everybody makes mistakes at times, – or ? 😉
I’ll update you on any developments……

Exactly what i thought. Like said i don´t want to solve differences openly on the WWW anyway, if not forced to a´la the mess with Machine Gun , and for me that whole part ordeal is already kinda half forgotten anyway. I’ve learned a thing or three though.
I don´t want to hang out anyone on the WWW and have only done so once when i warned everyone i could on all kinds of Airgun Forums all over about that gutless bastard Mika Malmiwaara who owns the MWM- Trading in Finland. That lowlife has big problems now and i´m far from the only one he has to deal with today. It started kinda Snowball effect. His actions i have proof for as lies and excuses while the Jury is still out on few other Companies.
I’d prefer to keep that story and the likes out of this thread please…… 😉
I feel confident Ed will surface with his comments/explanations/solution to my little issue pretty soon……

I’ve told you all this many, many times. Almost exactly the same experience here. Feels like Deja Vu : i only waited mine for four months though and that was a replacement for a Breech that blew up. Literally.
This is what i’m referring to with the non-existing customer care.
You may- or may not- get the correct one within a Year or so.

I received my R3M std cal.22 “upgrade-kit” today. The replacement breech needed to convert a std R3 into a R3M.
Just to recap: I ordered it and paid for it (€300 . including two new mags) in June last year. It was supposed to be shipped along with my gun, – but Ed forgot all about it.
When I approached Ed with regards to this issue, he said it was “good” he forgot, – because he had developed a new breech in the meantime. And he wanted me to have that instead. I must admit I was impressed and happy with Ed’s approach/suggested solution at the time………..:
Shipping details were agreed, and Ed promised to send it on Feb 1st this year. That in order for the parcel to be waiting for me upon my arrival back in Oslo on Feb 10th.
Neither the parcel nor any information about it was here on my arrival……..
Not until I started to push for information I was advised that it should have been shipped out of Estonia (By Andrey, – somebody may remember his name from my “waiting thread”, – http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19488). It appeared it hadn’t been shipped as agreed. I was finally told a few days ago that it had been shipped on the 10th Feb., but with no tracking information. Just sent by normal mail……
Needless to say I was not overly pleased. Not only did it ship late, – but who on earth would send €300 worth of merchandise by a normal letter and not registered in any way ???? Add to that the fact that I had requested “by registered mail” in my earlier communication with Ed…..
Anyway, the parcel arrived safely on the 15th. Here’s what I received:
The breech is NOT the new model. It is the early version 1 with the ball bearing locking the mag in place located towards the rim of the mag. See red arrow. However it is of the correct caliber…
NOT so with the mags. I have received two mags of the new model (still aluminium though) with the indents for the ball bearing closer to the mag center. And on top of that, – both mags are in cal.25. Needless to say they won’t fit in the breech……
And the parcel hadn’t been sent on the 10th, – but the day after……….. 😉

I have informed Ed, and I am awaiting his comments. However, this little experience of mine reveals some serious problems on his side when it comes to business practices. Apparently some fairly “sloppy” administrative routines are in place and need correction. Now if they cannot handle my little problem, – what about others….?
I shall refrain from speculating about why. At least for now. My little problem should be easy to fix.
Let’s see how Ed responds now…………
