Q:

MATADOR R3M on it’s way to Norway, – arrived finally….

Yes I know……. 😳 😳 😳

I’ll try not to start another mammut thread like the one here:

http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19488

– but yes, I have taken the plunge and ordered (and paid for) a brand new R3M std. walnut cal.22. As there are no Edgun representatives in Norway, I have been dealing with Ed directly……

I also ordered a multishot breech to fit on my single shot R3s…….. πŸ˜‰

So now the wait begins……. πŸ˜₯

But this time I am at least prepared for the worst. I don’t expect to get it until towards late autumn………

I’ll keep you updated though, and again shipping is the most difficult issue I think………

We’ll see………

Cheers
Trygve πŸ˜€

I’m only asking because I want to make sure I have enough rail space to fit the bipod and flashlight mount..
Will I have enough space for my atlas and flash light mount with this rail?

I wasn’t sure what sizes I was going to need for the Matador and Cricket so I bought the L2, L3, L4 (4″), and L5 Magpul’s. I think the Cricket will get the L3 if it can hold both accessories. L4 on the Matador.

I think you may need two of them for a real meal. πŸ˜› Also, why is that Norwegian Seabird eating a carrot backwards? πŸ˜› I couldn’t watch that web cam very long – yawn. Let us know when they start hatching.

What do you think? Ignore the laser. I am not much of a photographer – especially with my Galaxy Note II.

Who needs a gun when you can just walk down to the dock and find yourself a dinner…..:

Seatrout, – yummy……….. πŸ˜‰

I didn’t know there were two versions ! Whatz the difference between the two ? Just curious – how much does it cost in Norway .

May be these are similar, – I honestly don’t know………..

Price ???? Have no clue and I don’t want to hear about it…!!!!

:3:

PS and Edit: The Crickets are not being sold in Norway so I had to order from the source……….. πŸ˜‰

I thought you already have a cricket !

I do…………. 😳 😳 😳

But mine is from the Russian production line and it may be outdated a little. I would like to test the “new” models from the Czech Republic……… πŸ˜‰

I thought you already have a cricket !

– and BTW, I have just ordered a brand new Cricket as well…………… 😳 😳 😳

Hmmmm……

I honestly cannot think of anyone actually NEEDING an airgun at all to be honest,- be it SS or MS……… πŸ˜‰

It’s all about fun and hobbies isn’t it ???

In my case I have far too many guns already. So why buy more ???

It’s about curiosity. About how good can they really make them.? I am facinated by the fact that you can use air only to propell a pellet at the speeds we are talking about and actually castrate mosquitosized targets at 50 yds pluss. Not once but repeatedly……

Others collect stamps, – I collect airguns…..

And a multishot EDgun is something new, – something I really want to try out……..

But do I need it ? Ask my girlfriend….. πŸ™„

I need to be locked up I know………….. 😳 😳 😳

Now half of Norway and a great part of the rest of the world is following the birdnest I linked to above. If that’s not crazy I don’t know what is. People have even given the birds names and stay up all night chatting about the event……

For those who did not visit the site, – this is what it looks like (full screen screen shot):

Anybody approaching that nest with an airgun would probably be lynched, torn to pieces and used as a fish bait immediately………

F&D, I also can do a follow up shot almost as quickly as if the gun had a mag. My pellet holder is just in front of the front breech block. I usually don’t need or get a quick follow up shot. If I don’t do my range finding, sighting and shooting right, the intended target either flies off or scurries into its hole.

In retrospect; there is only one time that a mag would have come in handy.

A bunch of us were shooting at a friends place and someone spotted a muskrat swimming accost the pond towards its den. My Matador was set up on the tripod so, it was a simple matter of turning the gun around towards the target. I didn’t have time to range find it so, I just started shooting. The muskrat was around 150 yards out and swimming away from us. I kept missing him as I tried to adjust for the holdover.

THAT was the only time that I wished that I had a mag in my Matador.

I got 6 shots at him/her and; a year later, I am still pissed off that I couldn’t connect.

He/she really started swimming faster as the water splashes were erupting around.

The full auto that Ed has on You Tube would have been perfect for that situation.

Honestly. I am really thinking about keeping my R3 as a single shot.

It is such a nice shooting rifle that I dont want to spoil the fun of single loading with a magazine. (I have a Cricket for that)

Plus with a little training I can reload almost just as fast as magazine. Plus now the cocking lever is harder to pull and I love how butter smooth mine is now.

Norwegian bacon and eggs with fried potato’s! πŸ˜›

I’m not the only one waiting:

http://www.namdalsavisa.no/tjeld/article6680897.ece

This Norwegian seabird has been brooding for weeks now, and the eggs are supposed to crack any minute….

The drama has several thousand followers. Last night there were foxes in the neighborhood. The poor bird has also been attacked by other birds while on the eggs…….

Perfect waiting game and screensaver for nature fanatics……… πŸ˜‰

And actually quite fascinating………. πŸ˜€
