Q:

New CF shroud & muffler for the Bug !

I received my shiny, new CF parts today. The shroud makes the barrel and airtube equally long so now the gun looks that much better. The end cap is removable and underneath it there´s threading for the masive muffler if/when one wants to go stealth.
Unfortunately me and the manufacturer had a little lack of communication so the shroud is 20mm too short at the muzzle-end and thus the much bigger OD muffler can´t be threaded on.
No worries though since he´ll make me one in correct length.
Sorry about the usual “high” quality of them Pic´s … 😳

Thanks Steve (Scirrocco) for hooking me up !! :6:

I wonder if it’s going to be tcmalker queef quiet when you get the LDC to fit.

In case anybody don’t know, queef is essentially a pussy-fart. I had to look it up, not sure what it meant…but I’m sure that’s some sort of an insult. What did I ever do to you Donny?

Ville, can you post picture of the muffler on?

I´d gladly do that but unfortunately there was a miss in communication so the shroud is approx 20mm too short, thus the muffler can´t be screwed on. I said that in the first post. I´ll get a new one with the correct measurement. We had a “failure to communicate” , that´s all.

It´ll be fixed fast so there will be pics with it on a bit later.

But that means it’s available and maybe fits on my bug? 😀

Lol!!! Just playing with you TC, I was about to wonder when the defender of the forum was going to make his rounds. I didn’t know what a queef was until junior high school. This kid in my biology lab kept asking this girl if she queefs. She was embarrassed but kept saying No, and he was like Yeah right…

I have the exact same two piece set up for my .22 cricket. The manufacturer made mine the right length and I’m a little surprised that yours is short because he was overly anal about the measurements I sent him.

Anyway, I have been using it with the “can” attached on the end for the last six weeks. Last night I removed it just to compare the difference. You have to have someone else fire it and stand off to appreciate how quiet it is with and without the can on the shroud. You just can’t do so with your ear up against the breech, give it a try both ways and you see what I mean. With both pieces attached, sound generated thatI hear is the sound of the air expelling from the front and the smack of the pellet.
Not absolute quiet, but I wouldn’t have a problem firing anytime in my backyard with crowed neighbors all around me. A pellet ricochet hitting the fence is much loader than the gun firing if your standing off to the side.

I also have a similar two piece with the same can set-up on my .177 Vermy that I bought from Ernest. I shoot it at about 650 FPS for ratting and to keep it from passing through a 1×6 cedar plank on the backyard fence. That’s even quieter, kinda like a loud click sound when fired.

So they keep telling me … The truth may be “like waiving a Wiener in an Elevator” … 😥

If you mean the muffler, it´s 9.5″ long and a bit over 1.5″ in OD.

Nothing is that quiet, Donny.
I just test shot it with that short CF shroud and without the extra muffler and it is just a tiiiiny bit louder than with the full length OEM aluminium shroud. Remember – i already have one CF shroud but it´s of the same length as the original and that shroud alone made the gun more quiet. I expect it to be ridiculously quiet with the extra muffler on since it has volume and loads of baffles to muffle the report.
For me the “noise” this gun produce – even in stock form – is of no concern. I don´t shoot the .25 in my back yard anyway ,except when tuning or tinkering with it (Fuxing) , but i thought it would be nice to see just how quiet it can be.
I have a .177 Compact on order and that one will be the backyard plinker so it will also have this same combo on it = G-man stealth.

I wonder if it’s going to be tcmalker queef quiet when you get the LDC to fit.
