ok trying to figure parts of the nomenclature of this rifle and the mechanics of it.

(this is what FX has provided)

more obvious one is the manometer for the bottle in front of the trigger

ok the power wheel on the left side of the rifle behind trigger (this is hammer string adjuster I think??)

Front block of the rifle is a knob (from what Ted has said: “It is a metered knob that controls the amount of time the valve stays open”)

Now to have this fully adjustable multi-caliber rifle you need see your regulated pressure that you can externally adjust behind the trigger in the trigger guard area.. (regulator manometer which located on the back bottom side of the rifle under the cylinder magazine)

Now I’m not really sure where you actually adjust the ‘Regulator’ externally unless that front ‘knob’ has something to do with it or there is a hidden access point between the power wheel and magazine.?.?.?.?.?

anywho…..manly and un-manly men

FX Impact is at AOA if one wants to check it out. Which means oneway or another it will be at the Extreme Benchrest this weekend.

Is it still as “Extreme” at 75 yards/68 merers or is it Extreme for real this time ??

haha… “Extreme” such as 100 yards / 91.44 meters or how about 200 yards/ 182.44 meters lol :1:

That Sako TRG TM-10 is sweet. The problem with those kind of rifles is buying the gun is just the start of your expenditures. Scope, reloading dies, brass, bipod and ect… really adds up quickly.

It’s truly sweet indeed. Very accurate and veeery expensive. They go for nearly 10.000 USD here – without a scope and with one barrel .

That quad went towards a Sako TRG 300 win mag with a US optics scope. I also just picked up a Sako Bavarian in 6.5 Swede. One gun one scope cuz I am just not manly enough for 4 scopes and 4 barrels.

Bad for you 🙂
Now there’s lot better stuff : The TRG M 10. Check it out. Said to be the most well shooting Sniper Rifle ever. A barrel changer to boot . .338 LM, .300 WM and the good old .308 to boot. A barrel changer can be really good when done right.
Needed ? Heavens : NO!
I’d rather have a different Rifle in all those cal’s. Or ?
This doesn’t translate to Airguns though : The same reg/ valve spring/ whatever setting would’ve been changed according the Barrel / Cal. Too much hassle …

For me ? The Impact ( and anything from FX ) matters nothing. It’s one of those Rifles i really don’t need.

as the sang goes…

Different Strokes for Different Folks

For me I’m all about it if it does what FX claims…. If I can get 2-3 rifles into one smaller case that will free space in a already filled vehicle when traveling. With that said that will decrease the “nagging” 👿 👿 :angrymob: from the wife! :8:

I have zero intrest in a multi caliber airgun. I had a Sako quad and I found it to be a total PITA. Different zeros, re-sighting the gun in after every barrel change and memorizing different drop charts. Multi-caliber guns are nothing more than sales propaganda, for the hunter it’s just more complication.

I agree, I like my gun lock and zero in and kept that way.

That’s why real Men have different scopes zeroed for different barrels on their Sako Quads. 😉
And, of course , picatinny rail and good QD mounts … 🙂

Well even if I was interested which I am not – I sure would not want one of the first lots of a new gun from FX. 😯 Their introduction history is painful at this point. 😳 They might have them debugged by early next year.

Anyone interested in one of these?

Kmhusain and Sir Ville – what’s happening on the other side of the planet? 😛 Any Ocelots there? I wonder if a Vulcan pistol is on the works.

The Ocelot has been out for a good while, to my knowledge. Hannu, the Finnish importer , has had those on his website a couple of months now.
