Hell Ville, six months isn’t to bad, I goggled Swedish prisons, they looked cozy. You can do six months on your head, or any of those other critical pivot positions you have pointed out in the past. We all know how fond of body cavity searches you are, they may discover Dr. evil’s watch or that space pen you been looking for.
Anyway we’er pulling for ya, if you can receive packages let us know. I would be happy to send some copies of Hoot in his favorite outfit, you could trade them for smokes and apple jack.

All the Best
LarryW 😆

PS: What every it is, causing your absence, GOOD LUCK. This place won”t be the same for six months!!

VIlle, how long do you think before you get your hands on these new FX pieces?

Well, the Toiletgun (WC) will be avilable in any day now. The Impact becomes available in the early summer, june/july.
I won´t buy mine untill October. I have no time to play with airguns during the next 6 months or so. It´ll be all PB´s.

It may be awhile as Ole Villee has other plans starting in a week.

I don´t doubt the performance. The pricing, over here is fair. The WC is priced as the BC and the Impact a bit higher. Still far under the Cricket ,EdGun and Vulcan.

Ville, I can’t think of anyone more capable of wringing out the Impact, I hope you find time to explore!! The new FX is certainly innovative and offers much in a small package. Performance and price will determine it’s fate. Thanks Coach 😛 😛

I saw this one coming Ville………… :biggrinn:

A friend was on a visit at FX factory yesterday so he saw, shot and handled both the WC and the Impact. He says the Impact is pretty impressive. Very innovative and well build. It feels solid as a rock although it looks kinda flimsy in the pictures. The chassie is all steel/aluminium.The WC didn´t feel as solid due the hollow plastic stock – although it will become available with a Walnut stock in few weeks and even a laminate version may emerge in a near future. :winkn: It was also extremely light.

He rambled on about the feats on the Impact. The reg is adjustable from outside, there´s 8 different power levels one can tune and then change them with a thumbwheel. The barrel change/load pin change is done in an blink of an eye etc, etc. All the mechanics were buttery smooth.

He said the Impact is very slim and compact. Now it looks like i need to buy one in black so i can thoroughly test it. One with .177,.22 & .25 barrels.

I never thought i´d own an FX but since they now offer something interresting i need to re-valuate my standing point. I know the build quality on any FX is very good so my only concern is the ST barrel. We´ll see how it stacks against the Czech and Russian BP´s soon enough.

There are always trade-offs. Try it before you buy it. 😉 They will be the newest “black” airgun like as AR-15 or Air Force.

Be nice if I could try it first. Maybe a trip to Arizona?

Loving my R3M, but this Impact intrigues me. The idea that I can switch calibers is a deal-maker. I guess it will go for 2500.00 by the time one extra barrel and bolt is included (not to mention the price of magazines for the added barrel). A low shot count would be a deal breaker. Who knows? Maybe a .177 Hummingbird instead? It could happen

I have got to have this gun in all calibers. Thought my next gun would be a Vulcan but after seeing this one who could blame me for the change of heart??? Just waiting on the specs. Hope they don’t disappoint… Wow! :8:

A bit of experience and personal preference combined really.

quote Sir Ville:

If it had a conventional barrel ,ie LW, i’d probably buy one.

Of all the things you said in the above post that one requires further explanation. I’ve never dealt with FX and haven’t done any research on their “smooth twist” barrels. I’ll start doing some searching and reading on my own but I’d like to hear your reasoning behind that statement; is it simply preference, experience, or hard data that makes the barrel your decision maker?

That’s true – about two Quads. BTW – Sako is working on the sequal for Quad.
The Impact is released “late spring” which in Sweden means Mayish.
I don’t think they will have as severe teething problems since the regs are factory mounted and not assembled by AOA. Fredrik Axelsson isn’t stupid so i’m pretty sure he’ll have that part covered. The WC is the first ever FX to wake my interrest. If it had a conventional barrel ,ie LW, i’d probably buy one.
You plan on waiting game can be a wise move though since one never knows.
But as said Fredrik ain’t a spring chicken in this game so i’m pretty sure there won’t be much problems.
