I wasn’t going to stoop to this level being an upstanding guy and all. πŸ˜† Straight from the horses mouth. 😯 I think Fred should ship them with a grinder. πŸ˜›

Is it cold there yet? 😎

It’s not Freds first time screwing up the rails. The Bobcat needed a dremel. 😯

Don’t say that. It’s faultless..

Minus the rail the gun is nice so far…. Now I have a scope at 4″ above the the barrel little high but for the time being that what Im using. When I get more time I get some strings.

This is a stupid mistake. If those rails are indeed Weaver rather than Picatinny then it’s back to drawing board.

I can use each and everyone of these on my Edgun, Cricket and any of my powder burners AR “M-4”

Well they are some where in between But I have put from High end mounts Mid end mount and low end rail on it and none of them fit.
LaRue (high end)

Burris (mid end)

UTG rail (low end) locking mechanism screws don’t line up with FX rail slots

not a great picture… but the entire rail attaches ant an angle will not allow to fully attach

to get rail to work needed to over hang one of the locking machanism over FX Rail

Depending on what riser you use and I believe it just comes done to personal preference but for me .5″ riser is not going to hurt my shooting.

If you add that riser, don’t you think the scope is gonna be way to high.

Burris AR-PEPR scope mount will not work for this rail either.

Fortunate or Unfortunate depending how you look at it a work around is to put on a generic piccatinny riser that has no β€œrecoil lugs or guides” on it. http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Profile-Riser-Mount-slots/dp/B003LT3ISI/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1449199674&sr=8-4&keywords=picatinny+riser

It’s picatinny and i know the difference πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜† I guess I should say “for the folks that don’t know there is a difference between Weaver and Picatinny”

So what’s up with this?

The three quarters fit little tight. So I just ran the quarters a few times to get rid of the edges to rail but still the LaRue mount will not fit. Looks like the clamping mechanism is getting in the way and it shouldn’t but it does on the FX rail. These mounts go on and off my ARs all day so something is off with the rail.

Generic weaver/piccatiny mounts seem to work just fine (i have a bunch and they all work). Two things that may cause problems on a Piccatinny mount with the FX Impact is if the mount has recoil lugs (could be too tight of a fit) and the locking mechanism does not open wide enough.

RONIN001 , Put three quarters together and place between the space in your rail . They will fit in the space on a Picatinny Rail , will not fit between
the rail spaces on a Weaver Rail .

My $200+ LaRue Picattiny scope mount does not fit. What that tells me is the grooves are too narrow and a tell tell sign of a Weaver rail.

—–edit
I measure the groove at .199-.190″

piccatinny rail groove is .206″
Weaver rail groove is .180″

For generic weaver/piccattiny set up will work most likely but due to the slightly narrow groove I don’t recommend a high end Piccatinny mount it will not fit.

Complete video reviews in your spare time would be nice. πŸ˜†
