Received my "Knock-off" Atlas Bipod today !
Got the Atlas-copy/knock-off/whatever Bipod today. I haven´t hold an original Atlas in my hand so i don´t know exactly how it feels and so but this one looks exactly like it does on those Greenbase pics and is a well made piece as it seems. Definitely worth the price. As i said before i only have good experience with Greenbase (have bought loads of stuff from them in more than a dozen occasion) and the Bipod in question is as described and well worth those few bux it cost.

Of course but with the rubber mod it can still be tilted and panned without it being flimsy.
Pick up some neoprene rubber from your local dive center (or look under your desk) 7mm is readily available here and would be more or less perfect for the job.

The GB clones have a rounded partial ball/socket joint as well although it is metal to metal. I simply tightened up the pressure by adding a spacer on top of the spring and it works fine. It was loose and if you just cranked on the knob it pulled the mount down to far to pivot.
Im glad I got the other clone model. That has a true ball and socket setup. simple fix to socket washer and works great.
I never thought of using it on my hands!
Just trying to loosen up a different wrinkled and dried up appendage…with little success. Tomorrow, I’m going to try a hot water soak first, and then use the Cetaphil, rubbing it in vigorously.

I don’t think it can be tilted…panning yes but with the spacers how is it going to mover along the alleged ball head

All I did was take my channel locks and tightened the nut on the bottom about a turn and it doesn’t move at all now
Did the HOOT-mod with a piece of rubber and now it’s steady as a rock! A good mod actually .
Brilliant! I have to check if those rubber washers used on some hose connections will work.
If the Atlas pan and tilt function is too loose, or you seldom use it, here’s how you can tighten it, or completely disable it easily and reversibly…
Parts needed: (2) 2″ wide X 1/16″ deep rubber washers, with a 3/4″ hole that fits over the Atlas panning/tilt bolt. (Any good hardware or auto parts store)
Next…look at the pictures and figure it out…
The rubber washers compress better than just using the spring on the Atlas, so you can secure the pan/tilt entirely, or loosen it a bit to allow a tighter pan/tilt movement.

The jury is still out on that one. 😯 Our scale tops at 800 lbs so in this case it´s useless…

I´m glad i didn´t. The GB works very well,has the QD and on top this all the text/brand name is stamped the right side up.
