Received my "Knock-off" Atlas Bipod today !
Got the Atlas-copy/knock-off/whatever Bipod today. I haven´t hold an original Atlas in my hand so i don´t know exactly how it feels and so but this one looks exactly like it does on those Greenbase pics and is a well made piece as it seems. Definitely worth the price. As i said before i only have good experience with Greenbase (have bought loads of stuff from them in more than a dozen occasion) and the Bipod in question is as described and well worth those few bux it cost.

Ville, you are supporting theft by KNOWINGLY buying a counterfeit, unauthorized product whose basis is protected patents with my name on it. By your actions you are condoning theft and you know it, if you don’t, you do now.
You state “i don’t feel like sponsoring the importer.” of the Atlas into Sweden, but you do support the thieves that stole my ideas. Perfect.
“You should be very careful when you talk about a character of people you don’t know or how one “puts a price” on it.”
Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll stand on my posts as you continue to demonstrate that theft is okay as long as you can justify the benefit (savings) to YOU, regardless of the cost to others (me and the people I work with). Based on that, your character is for sale.
And what kills me is who says you or anyone needs an Atlas bipod anyhow? A Harris will work fine for any airgun! So why buy stolen property? What drives you or anyone to do that? The look? Oh okay so you want to impress people with the “look” of all your toys….cool. I’ve never understood that level egotism.
And for the guys that bought a knockoff un-knowingly, that is different,(there are thieves selling these knock offs for 250.00 as original Atlas bipods), I don’t like it, but that is totally different than knowingly buying and bragging about it. I have zero respect for the latter as they are knowingly feeding the thieves and in some cases bragging about it.
For starters- i’ve neither stolen from you nor have i bought anything that was stolen from you. I’ve bought a product sold openly on Internet. I don’t need to justify shit to you or anyone else for that matter. I’m just not dumb enough to pay more than 10 times the price for your product when there’s another product that accomplishes the same thing and fills the need i have. I don’t use the bipod for military causes nor law enforcement purposes but under a PCP rifle while shooting off the bench.
FYI – i tried to buy one from US, from several different places, but it was a no-go due some dumb ,new law regarding “weapon related items & export” or something alike. Like said i’d have gladly paid the US price for it since that is a fair price for the Atlas but i refuse to pay the price your Swedish importer asks for it. It’s ridiculously overpriced and i don’t feel like sponsoring the importer.
You should be very careful when you talk about a character of people you don’t know or how one “puts a price” on it.
Sent from a Tab my wife lured me to buy … If your Aunt has a pair of hairy balls does that make “her” your Uncle ?
My point is that you have demonstrated your motivation, you want the look but you don’t have the horsepower to back it up so you’ll buy “look alike” stolen goods, no matter the cost suffered by others and then try to justify it. And using your model of justification, you would be okay with me buying a firearm stolen from you as long as I save money. Cool.
And please, humor me some more with the quality and durability of the stolen goods you own…
Character is a trait some will put a price on, you have.
Good post Kasey.
Often people make a choice then rationalize it. Then aggressively dig into their rationalization.
Ordered my first Atlas bipod yesterday after perusing this thread but before you posted.
I am too poor to afford shit.
Best to your companies future even though you were born with the proverbial silver spoon 😉
And your point being??
Once there’s a stolen copy that works ok, for a fraction of price of the original – which by the way is ridiculously overpriced here – i’ll buy it to fill my Bipoding needs. Maybe because i’m greedy , maybe because i want my money’s worth or maybe just to piss you off. OR all of those things combined.
Are you telling me you’d still pay 1600€ for a gun if there was a copy for sale for a 160€ , a copy that with minor tweaking and an extra investment of a hefty sum of 2€ would work nearly as good as the original item and last for at least half as long ?? Please …
You do realize that has nothing to do with my character. Many on this site has a rags to riches hero story. Wanna hear mine?
The Atlas is one beautiful Bipod and product and actually very fairly priced in US but here in Sweden it’s so ridiculously overpriced that the only way i would ever even consider buying one is if those were made of Gold.
Now – put your hand on your heart , take a look around you and everything you own and tell me nothing there isn’t a copy or a knock-off of some kind and that you knew that while you bought it.

I know this thread is dated but I just was made aware of it as some people are willing to take whatever they read on the www as being the gospel truth. When it comes to the Atlas bipod and B&T Ind. L.L.C. I being the patent holder and founder of B&T am the subject matter expert. I do not state this fact to be a braggart but rather as fact. I post this to clarify and correct some false statements.
Sir Ville I cannot help the exchange rates of currencies, when I bought my Edgun from our dealer in the Netherlands; I was shocked at the cost of the item. Then the cost of the Air tank to fill it! However, I have long forgotten the cost as I enjoy it very much. Would I feel better buying a stolen copy? No. This is a character issue that drives greed, and it’s funny, greed is not uniquely isolated to businesses but rather people whether they be buyers or sellers.
Urgirlinmyjetta “airsoftcart is the legal licensed reproduction”
This is a false statement. The ONLY legally licensed V8 Atlas bipods being produced are made by us at B&T in USA.
ALL LICENSED V7 Atlas were to be MARKED “FOR AIRSOFT” none of the counterfeits are being marked that way.
I challenge any manufacturer to produce documents with my signature licensing them to produce the V8 Atlas bipod.
SECoda “Well by licensing PTS to produce legal clones B&T has opened the door on importing clones. Their stated reason was to control the clones with a legal Chinese manufacturer but I suspect greed was a bit more of the motivation which is fine. They claim that all Atlas bipods will always only be made in the US but then went and licensed knock-offs made in China. I made my decision to try a few of them once I read they were licensing a Chinese company to produce a legal clones. Now they are backpedaling a bit realizing the flood gates are opened and are attempting to control the good vs bad clones invading the US. Also, they claim they are hiring/expanding and none of this is having any impact on their business. Personally, while I bought two of the real Atlas bipods, I think they are overpriced by at least 33%. $60 more just for the quick release mount version is just a rip-off. They are too used to getting high tax payer dollar prices for their products through defense contracts. $400 for a toilet seat, etc. If I find out a union is somehow responsible for the high prices then I have no sympathy at all”
May I ask from where you get this basis for dismissing my stated position and concluding its greed? And where do you get the basis for your opinion that I am backpeddling? PTS licensed the V7, NOBODY IS CURRENTLY LICENSED TO MANUFACTURE THE V8 EXCEPT B&T! And it is the V8 that is being illegally copied and sold.
ALL LICENSED V7 Atlas were to be MARKED “FOR AIRSOFT”. Any agreement B&T has with ANY manufacturer for air soft WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE THIS “FOR AIRSOFT’ MARK. NONE of the counterfeits are being marked that way.
Regarding your statement “They are too used to getting high tax payer dollar prices for their products through defense contracts” is without fact or basis of neither our company nor our operating procedures. You do realize there are differences in materials, finishes, work conditions, regulations that USA based businesses must adhere to, compensation laws, work comp insurance, product liability insurance, taxes on and on that have a influence on the cost of doing business here in the USA. I mean you did take all of that into consideration right? So you have to be a business owner to speak with such authority on this subject, please tell about your success in business.
Your willingness to share your un-educated, un-informed opinion on my company and our products is inaccurate to the point that NOTHING you say on this subject matter has any value other than entertainment. And for the record I have no reason to believe you own a real Atlas let alone two of them.
BTW, we are non-union shop.
Hoot “As for the very existence of “knockoffs”, well Atlas is a big enough company to take care of it’s own licensing agreements, and patent infringements. That’s none of my business. For all I know it’s a “sweetheart” deal where backdoor money is changing hands between both companies, with one laughing it’s ass off by getting $300 for a $45.00 bi-pod.”
For the record, I grew up in blue collar family with 5 kids, HS graduate, spent 19 years delivering packages for FedEx and started chasing the American dream with a simple idea in a basement in 1998. I worked long hours starting this business and am working long hours today to stay here for the 14 people that work with me. We are spending thousands of dollars trying to protect what is legally ours, money that could be spent on employee wages and benefits, R&D, charity, etc.. So the idea that B&T deserves to get screwed because of their success or is screwing the “little guy” is without foundation or understanding of B&T’s business model. I have never told anyone they needed to buy an Atlas bipod to shoot well; I have told hundreds that the Harris will serve them well. We simply listened to the market demands and built the Atlas without a price point in mind. There is no backdoor money being exchanged, to say this is to verify you don’t know me or my business model which is not based on greed.
To everyone that thinks its okay to buy a knockoff, counterfeit, un-licensed V8 Atlas bipod (WHICH ALL OF THEM ARE), let me ask you this;
Someone steals your prized firearm, I know it’s stolen, but I can buy it for 20% of cost, (benefitting ME, not you). Are you okay with me buying it? Then bragging about it?
That is what we are talking about here, a “little guy” that blamed no-one for the cards dealt, had an idea, took a chance and worked hard towards a goal and the American dream and now with a small measure of success, it is somehow okay to steal his ideas.
I can walk away from this business knowing that through God’s blessings something was achieved, something few have done. To me that is a huge reward and confirmation that has nothing to do with money.
Character, mines not for sale at any price.
^^^ lol he joined and waited a year just for the right topic so he could prove he has the real deal 😆
Oh ok thanks for the clarification???? ➡ 😕
This is a real Atlas
Pictures removed. 😀 sorry for my Input
In math two negative gives a positive so maybe to knock-offs gives an original?! :thumb:
Lol more of a franken-atlas
O.k -so you want to mix & match two knock-offs and create your own , ultimate counterfeit version? Cool ! 😉

I kinda want to buy the other licensed atlast to swap out the legs becasue they have the little lip on them that make it easier to pull.
I also have a Harris knock-off from GB and so we did test that one yesterday. Works equally well. Mine is the 6-9″ version featuring the tilt. Cost 20 something $ at Greenbase.
