Received my "Knock-off" Atlas Bipod today !
Got the Atlas-copy/knock-off/whatever Bipod today. I haven´t hold an original Atlas in my hand so i don´t know exactly how it feels and so but this one looks exactly like it does on those Greenbase pics and is a well made piece as it seems. Definitely worth the price. As i said before i only have good experience with Greenbase (have bought loads of stuff from them in more than a dozen occasion) and the Bipod in question is as described and well worth those few bux it cost.

i was a bit confused when my bipod didnt fit right…and i knew you could adjust it to fit but it took me about 5 mins of looking at it and relized how to fix it.
Well you just explained why my two clones fit so perfectly! 🙂

Hoot Hoot Hooray! Nicely put Uncle Hoot! I am still working hard to buy one gun. During the meantime, I’ve been trolling these forums for months drooling over all ya guns! Lol.. Trust me, when I get one, I will not be able to afford a $300 bi-pod. Until I make it rich like 50 cent I have no shame sporting this around.
I received yet another response today from GB today!!!
My problem was simple, I had no instructions on how to properly push the QD lever in, so the adjustment screw nut would come out of its recessed hole for adjustment turns.
They responded next day with an answer to my problem. Today, they advise me they now pre-adjust the QD picatinny mounts before sending them out.
I’m thinking I haven’t seen that degree of concern and customer service in many years.
Again…there is no bi-pod made anywhere that is worth $300 USD, unless it’s custom cut from titanium, engraved with my name with gold leaf,
and comes with a coupon good for two buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken, large curly fries, and a liter of a soft drink of my choosing!
As most of you semi-literates dimly realize from my past posts…I’d rather take a beating than say, or do, anything which might offend a forum member!!! That’s just the way I roll.
I would never buy a knock-off of a forum member’s product, we must support our own. I have no qualms about seeking out the best deal on large companies greedy, price gouging, commercial rape of the general public. The commercial Atlas is stupidly over-priced. If I were rich, it would make no difference. But I’ve had to work hard all my life to earn my daily bread, and I never got a word of thanks from those who gladly ate it.
I offer the above tidbits of morality, intelligence, and wisdom because I sincerely care! There are many ways to enrich other people’s lives. It has been said “If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day and be hungry tomorrow. If you teach him to fish, he will never be hungry“. Personally, I’d kick his sorry ass into the pond, and advise him to start drinking until he could see fish flopping around in the mud! If he didn’t like that method, then he could do the same thing I did…learned how to fish on my own!
A Liberal, however, will sit by the pond and whine, until someone comes along and gives them what they are too lazy to try to obtain on their own.
Intellectually, humanely, and morally, it boils down to the great Abraham Lincoln’s statement regarding federal entitlements: “Fuck all those lazy, welfare grabbing, breeding, entitlements oriented, Liberal asswipes, too damn lazy to learn to do what they have to do to survive…what have they done for me lately?”

That was my take on this in the first place: The Atlas costs 450$ + in Sweden whereas the knock-off (with all small wibbles and quirks which are fixable) costs 45$. The Atlas ain´t ten times better or worth ten times the knock-off value. It won´t last ten times longer. So – there´s no reason – for me – to get the original and feel molested every time i look at it. Since i´m not from US of A no one can blame me not being patriotic.
As said all and every product i´ve bought from GB has been well worth its price – i wouldn´t recommend them and start a thread about those knock-off´s if it wasn´t so – and i very much appreciate their willinges to make things right would there be any queries. Try that with ANY other Chinese company, hell 99% of big,marquee western world companies lack in comparison.
lmao hoot there is somebody here that is all pro american products…and your making this person smash his computer to pieces…lol….i agree with your statement and tho i support american made products…i dont agree with a $50 bipod being sold to americans and everybody else for that matter for $260….thats an insane amount for a piece of aluminum….in all honesty i feel that what i paid GB for their bipod is paying what would be the “cost” to make a real atlas
I think I may need some of those prunes. The GB green laser designator flashlight I got is a direct clone of the Laser Genetics GLDF ($200) and it includes the adjustable mount which is absolutely necessary when you decrease the beam diameter. It works very well. 😎
GB is tops for customer service. I had a difficult time adjusting the picatinny quick release to fit my particular mount. So I emailed them that night. They sent me a picture and a response the very next day, all in English. They are trying hard to please.
Fortunately Sir Ville set me straight prior to the GB email, but I was really impressed at the timely response. It is not uncommon for my questions to go unanswered for days or weeks when dealing with other on-line companies.
Would I buy another, if I needed a bi-pod? There is nothing, absolutely nothing, worth $300 for the OEM product. As a bi-pod, it’s price of about $10 above the other generic bi-pods is about right. The original is a nice piece of equipment, but stupid high priced, with not much in return for the bucks. Except for the ego boost of “owning the very best”. Personally, I’ll pocket the extra $260USD and use it for cheap liquor, loose women, and lemon flavored prunes. At my age, everything has it’s “worth buying” price.
As for the very existence of “knockoffs”, well Atlas is a big enough company to take care of it’s own licensing agreements, and patent infringements. That’s none of my business. For all I know it’s a “sweetheart” deal where backdoor money is changing hands between both companies, with one laughing it’s ass off by getting $300 for a $45.00 bi-pod.
That’s my take. Should you chance to look down on me for buying clones…well then, fuck you very much, and thanks kindly for your well intended advice.
