Received my "Knock-off" Atlas Bipod today !
Got the Atlas-copy/knock-off/whatever Bipod today. I haven´t hold an original Atlas in my hand so i don´t know exactly how it feels and so but this one looks exactly like it does on those Greenbase pics and is a well made piece as it seems. Definitely worth the price. As i said before i only have good experience with Greenbase (have bought loads of stuff from them in more than a dozen occasion) and the Bipod in question is as described and well worth those few bux it cost.

No,no,no Coda – That´s totally wrong ! According to some people the rule is this : If you buy an expensive airgun you´re just a cheap bastard if you don´t invest in an expensive toilet bowl as well – and the most expensive paper to wipe your ass with once you own that expensive seat. And the shower curtain in Egyptian cotton is also mandatory. If you own an 2000$ air rifle then the least amount your bipod has to cost is 400$. You cheap bastard ! 
Well by licensing PTS to produce legal clones B&T has opened the door on importing clones. Their stated reason was to control the clones with a legal Chinese manufacturer but I suspect greed was a bit more of the motivation which is fine. They claim that all Atlas bipods will always only be made in the US but then went and licensed knock-offs made in China. I made my decision to try a few of them once I read they were licensing a Chinese company to produce a legal clones. Now they are backpedaling a bit realizing the flood gates are opened and are attempting to control the good vs bad clones invading the US. Also, they claim they are hiring/expanding and none of this is having any impact on their business. Personally, while I bought two of the real Atlas bipods, I think they are overpriced by at least 33%. $60 more just for the quick release mount version is just a rip-off. They are too used to getting high tax payer dollar prices for their products through defense contracts. $400 for a toilet seat, etc. If I find out a union is somehow responsible for the high prices then I have no sympathy at all. 😡

For some who only think about their pockets is justification for supporting a Chinese company who is infringing on an American citizens patented product. Breaking the law and importing illegal counterfeited goods is a whole other matter and more reason not to do it. But some people are part of the problem and why there are counterfeit goods to begin it with. It’s also a reason why we have prisons. Stealing from a persons livelihood which is in part a patented product is immoral, unethical and just downright wrong.

I bought the AF bipod at first since it was cheaper then the Harris.
I bought two Harris clones before I bought a real Harris.
They were good clones, but still clones.
Paid for four bipods and got one worth using. The Harris.
Sure you can buy two for the price of one real Atlas bipod…
I learned this lesson long ago.

Ok do we need a sniperqty review on this? 😆 I have another week before I will have them clone babies in my hands. From the looks of their ball joint clone I wouldn’t want a hip replacement from them. 😮 For my night pesting I need the real McCoy’s but for general shooting the jury is still out.

But I don’t play stud poker. That’s because I don’t have $200.00 USD in my pocket. That is also why I bought the friggin’ knockoff!!! Next year, I can afford to buy another one if need be.
Owning the “genuine” article is all about the mindset of the owner. For some, nothing but the genuine best will ever do. For others, “functional for my needs” is just fine. Both parties sleep at night in equal contentment.
To me, ego of ownership, is akin to shitting in your hand and clapping. Not a lot to be gained.
In the end, what works for you is what works best.
Your milage may vary, but that’s my opinion, and it has worked handsomely for a very long time.

So to sum it up, – the counterfeit Atlas Bipod in my opinion, – is a piece of totally useless junk compared to the original……………… 😉 😥 😈
