Received my "Knock-off" Atlas Bipod today !
Got the Atlas-copy/knock-off/whatever Bipod today. I haven´t hold an original Atlas in my hand so i don´t know exactly how it feels and so but this one looks exactly like it does on those Greenbase pics and is a well made piece as it seems. Definitely worth the price. As i said before i only have good experience with Greenbase (have bought loads of stuff from them in more than a dozen occasion) and the Bipod in question is as described and well worth those few bux it cost.

Kindly note I said useless compared to the original. I haven’t made a comparison to other brands, makes or whatever…… 😉
And honestly, it is quite difficult to tell unless you have both and can compare the two. As kanting is a big problem for me (high mounts), I need to be able to adjust (tilt) the gun to line up with the bubble lever. While the original does what it is supposed to do thanks to the engineering of the ball head, – the Chinese counterfeit does not. It is far too wobbly….. 🙄

Probably true, – it is indeed cheap. I can afford throwing USD35 in the bin now and then in order to get wiser…… 😉
But let’s not try to convince people that these two are similar or can substitute each other. They can NOT !!!!

Great review and pictures. I had already read on the blogs the GB Atlas clones were a bit inconsistent and less precise to say the least but still more functional than the Harris clones (UTG, Caldwell, Champion, Blackhawk, etc. they sell locally) generally. GB seems to fix any major problems unlike some of the other HK clone retailers (and there are a lot of them). We shall see. The two I ordered shipped the next day along with a green laser and a green laser flashlight.

That totally useless piece of junk works quite well for me. I don´t think i´d shooting any tighter groups with the original although it costs 10 times the price of this useless knock-off. Compared to other Harris etc. copies it´s much more adjustable, as stable and worth its price. Heck – for me it´s worth its price as an Atlas copy.

Not sure what to say or how to say this without being too blunt…….. 😳
However: I have received my (Greenbase) Chinese counterfeit Atlas Bipod, – and I have compared it with my original US made Accu-Shot Atlas bipod………….
While they certainly may look very much the same, – the difference between them is HUGE:
The easiest way to quickly identify one from the other may be the grip on the legs (the original to the right) and the “checkering” of the same legs. The “checkering” on the original is much sharper. Not that this difference affects operation much, – but it makes it easy to identify the two.
Of other immediately noticable differences is the color of the steel parts, where the original looks more grey and may be of a different alloy all together. Probably stainless on the latter. The original also has a white laser engraving identifying the American defense QD-mount.
The counterfeit one feels more “wobbly” and rattles quite a bit…
Leg adjustment lengthwise is about the same. Positioning of legs forward or backwards is more precise on the original……..
The really HUGE difference is in the tilting and panning feature……..
The original has the same feeling as a top notch camera ball head where adjustments are tight and extremely accurate albeit somewhat stiff in the beginning. The quick lever mount seems to be attached to a precision moulded aluminium hemispherical shaped “ball” that is resting and rotating in a “bed” of delrin that has been “press casted” into the “body” of the Atlas Bipod.
You can easily identify it by turning the tripods upside-down and look at them from underneath:
You should be able to see the original delrin cast on the right and the all aluminium counterfeit on the left. The shape of the latter seems to “pretend” it’s there for a purpose, – but it has none at all and is there for “decoration purposes” only and to give it the “look alike” image of the original….. 🙄
It isn’t until you start rotating the knob underneath the bipod body you begin to realize how bad the counterfeit really is in comparison:
On the top you should be able to see the original Atlas ballhead seated firmly in the delrin (???) bed. The friction can be adjusted by rotating the knob underneath. In the beginning you don’t need to tighten much (if at all). The gun sits firmly in any of the positions you want it……… 😀
The lower part of the image shows you what the counterfeit offers. It has a cylindrical “collar” on top of a (may be) ballshaped head that is resting on a spring of some sort. To ensure proper movement grease has been added, and while it certainly both tilts and pans quite easily, – there is no way you can keep your gun stable in any of these positions. It is only when you rotate the knob all the way in that the gun is held firmly in position. But that happens only after the cylindrical collar has been retracted into its’ “base” and tilting is no longer possible…. 😥 You can easily unscrew the knob completely and check for yourself. This really stinks of cheap Chinese backyard industry……..:
So to sum it up, – the counterfeit Atlas Bipod in my opinion, – is a piece of totally useless junk compared to the original……………… 😉 😥 😈

Yep. That´s the one i have with that mount. The GB laser itself is the same but as i already said the mount on mine is different. I quess they ran out of those exact models with the QD mount.
Never heard about T-mart but as said i´m a long time customer at GB and never any fuzz there .. You should take a look at some of their weaver & dovetail mounts as well. Especially some of those weaver´s are really good and cost almost nothing. I also have a laser bore-sighter from GB and it works well and costs like 15$ but it´s a bit overkill for air rifles .. 😉
The contact at GB said they´re waiting for some new scopes to arrive, both regular and red dot (Aimpoint) so i´ll be checking the site out regularly to see what they´re up to. I buy stuff without really even needing it. Damned internet trading … 
I wonder how well these work at night. (Green flashlights) I ordered one and a the laser sight. 🙂

Thank you Sir! :7: $29 seems like a good price. I have this one available also in HK with free shipping for $36.77. I think it is the same laser. The only difference I see is the quick lever mount like on the Atlas and the rechargeable battery (16340 vs CR123). Free shipping world wide but I have never ordered from these guys. They take PayPal as well.

I have one of their green lasers. I´ll check back for which one but it´s very powerful and you can clearly see the green dot in bright daylight aiming at 65-70 meters. They actually have good stuff (in knock-off category although many products are “original”) at good price and a good customer service. I quess Magpull didn´t like them selling stuff directly to US ..
I see they have some restrictions on shipments to the US on certain products like Magpul stuff. 🙁 Someone must of complained.
I may have to try one of their lasers.

I don´t think anyone lives under the impression the two (Atlas vs. the copy) are similar or can be even considered as direct competitors. Of course the Atlas is of a better build – You get what you pay for , as you do in most cases, and the orig vs. clone price difference in Sweden is more than tenfold. I don´t own the original but i don´t think it´s ten times better eventhough,again, of course it´s better and for the price difference it truly should be too.
BTW – still waiting for the Cricket and the extra cheek cover. I´ll let you know at once when i get the package.
