Tactical Sniper
Decided to bite the big bore bullet and ordered a Evanix Tactical Sniper in .357 last night the after santa 10% discount made it hard to resist.
I friend that I converted to air guns had just gotten a Rainstorm 3D bullpup, was a hoot to shoot so I had to get my own, didn’t want the same thing, couldn’t afford the semi autos so went with the sniper. :4:
Already trying to figure out how to make it more neighbor friendly 😯

I always wondered why the Evanix guns don’t have more power? The Sniper in .45 cal, only has something like 208 FPE.
I wonder how this rifle would do with a .257?

Got most of the work done on my LDC, waiting on some set screws.
I also order some 95 gr .358 sized bullets from hunter supply. I’m really going to have to invest in some casting equipment 😆
rained out again today -beautiful day, right up until it was time to go home 🙁
need some sun shine so I can shoot it over the chrony, need to get some pellets through it to break it in….

Hopefully I’ll get a good chance this weekend to put it through its paces – looks like the weather isn’t going to cooperate right now, but the weekend is still a ways off……
my fiends 3D was shooting the 95’s at around 710 fps we didn’t get a chance to really go for groups though
Looks like you are ready for business. Let us know how those air venturi slugs shoot. My rainstorm slings those 35 jsb’s around 850 – 870 fps. I don’t get any sort of meaningful group with the 95 or 115 grain slugs you have there.
comparison between the Sniper and the Marauder (definitely need a better scope the the Sniper -have to wait for a bit though, spent my allowance and then some 😳 )
Started on the parts for the LDC, going to go from just in front of the fill cap out to about 6″ past the end, should give me plenty of volume to slow the air down

Got my gun today, came home a bit early to play with it. plain brown box, no manual.
initial impression, big and bad 😈
Cleaned the barrel -it was filthy, topped of the tank, had 175 bar in it already, tried to slapped a scope on it but my Nikon rings wouldn’t fit over the Picatinny on the gun, grabbed a different set and was able to mount one
did a quick bore site. lubed a couple of 95 gr “pellets” and headed outside.
cocking action could best be described as “Gritty” 😯 , closing was smooth pellets chambered easily, much easier than my friends 3D
was raining so I only fired one shot to get an idea of the loudness and how close the scope was. Seemed a bit quieter than the 3D, still not real neighbor friendly but not god awful
Trigger was very heavy but crisp, need to find a manual so I can play with the adjustments a bit
hopefully after a bit more use it will smooth out… guess we’ll have to see how it performs – weather doesn’t look very promising though

I just received my my order from online metals today 😀 It has a tube and a round in it and i am guessing you all know what i am going to do with it 
I have only ordered twice from them but just like dogwood said you get it quick.

The reservoir is probably the limiting factor. I always wondered why the bolt actions never took root… so much cooler.
