How can i get a Morana???
When I’ve assembled first ones I found the accuracty problem due to my mistake when I designed it. So I needed to remake one detail to avoid it. It is ready and being galvanazing now. I expect to get it withing 2-3 weeks. Then I will assemble them in Russia, test them and if everything is OK will start assembling in Estonia. So, if there is no problem I think Tony will get them in US in the end of October/beginning of November.

Tony should Have sucked it up and honored the price he sold them for …..
then made a notice that they have to go UP on price.
that is the way to do it. not wait till the product arrives… There is enough mark up there to cover tony in this event.

I have no idea about manufacturing cost of other producers. Quite possible that my cost is higher, I don’t know. At least I try to give the quility for that price, if I am in a success or not, that is only users can say, not me. At least if they still buy the guns I produce I think the price meet the requirements.
Tha is complete my fault, I admit it! Tony is not the person to blame for it, that is for sure. Yes, we will see what future gives us, I am ready to accept any of it.

Ed, I think you did your dealers a disservice by accidentally disclosing the price of your Matador. Now we have a sense of the markup but I think your manufacturing cost is probably inline with many other manufacturers. A lot of us in the US thinks we’re getting a “bargain” by paying $1,500 or more for various airguns from varying manufacturers but based on your info, there’s a steep markup by many middle men. It goes to show you AoA and FX aren’t the only one playing this game.
In regards to the Lelya’s, I think many customers who had pre-ordered were simply upset over the lack of transparency. Unexplained reasons for multiple delays and ultimately an unexplained price increase up until you chimed in. It still doesn’t make things right and for that reason many have opted out. Best of luck to your business. The competition has changed quite a bit within the last year alone.

Well, I think that you’ve chosen not the right tone trying to solve any
problem from the very first line of you message. Even being agree with
you I cannot afford to accept the conversation in such a manner, so
the only thing I can say — you are a free man in free country and can
do anything you want. I never ever will deal with anybody who makes

Now back to the situation. Let’s begin from the early times 🙂 USA was always sweet peace of market for ANY makers of ANY things. You have good custom legislations which allow you to get goods from over the world for quite a good price. USA market has money, that is why many producers are quite happy just to keep their position on this market even selling their goods with low profit or with negative profit just to keep it. I have to confess, I make a mistake in the beginning thinking that being at the market is equaling to be successful 🙂 That is why Tony was the only dealer I have, who’s worked with a little different conditions.
I produce guns which are sold out of Russia in Estonia. Good country, with good tax and weapon legislation but with bad Soviet bureaucratic way of thinking. Even being a EU member they still have the same Soviet bureaucratic way of thinking “It’s better to ban something, then allow it and then get responsibility”. That is why there is no problem with producing guns there but there are great problems with sending guns out of Estonia, in case if they are sold out of EU, that is true fact. We did few attempts to send guns out of EU directly from Estonia and failed. The boxes were hold in Tallinn for about a month and then the shipping company, which promised us “There is no problem, we can solve everything!” just told us “Sorry guys, take your boxes, we cannot do it!”. That is why we use Finland for shipping all the guns out of EU.
All my dealers pay the shipping from Finland themselves, pay the paper work in Finland, pay the warehouse work in Finland and so on. So my task is only to send the boxes to Finland from Estonia on my own expenditures, then the rest is paid by the dealer, directly to shipping company I am not involved in that. I say “all my dealers” but it is more correctly would be to say “All my dealers BUT US dealer, Tony.” And that is why I said that I made a mistake in the very beginning. Tony was in the privilege position in comparison to other dealers. I used to pay ALL the expenditures for the goods Tony’s gotten in USA, even the van, he hired from Miami to his place to bring the guns. Needless to say I wasn’t satisfied with that. I found myself as a hostage of the system I’ve created myself long time ago. So, there was no reason to keep going on working that way if I have orders from other countries and earn more money on it. So, there wasn’t too many options to solve that, either to keep going on the previous way, with low interest in it or put Tony to the same conditions like other dealers have.
Yes, the USA market is good one, yes, it is interesting, yes I want to work on it. But as I told before “If nobody needs EDgun in USA for the price I want for it, I will just stop selling them”. That is why I put Tony to the same conditions the other dealers have. Now he pays all the expenditures himself from Finland to USA, all the paper work, shipping, custom fees, transport etc. So, from this point the increase of the price is quite understandable. On the other hand I completely agree with those who accept the following the previous conditions.
Regarding the rouble fall and the price. Yes, we have ruble fallen down in comparison to USD or EURO, but Russia is a country which depends on import a lot. For almost everything from tools to hygienic products. So, price in rubles inside Russia goes up for everything. Yes, parts for guns are produces both in Russia and EU, but producing parts in Russia we have to buy tools for CNC machines for currency, I still buy LW barrel for currency, gauges for currency, the workers wage is paid in rubles but due to the price rise I have to increase it, etc. etc. etc. That is why I changed the price for Matador in Russia twice for last year, now it cost 60 000 rubles, that makes about 800 euro and dealers pay themselves the delivery from the factory, as well as direct clients. And I am afraid that before New Year I will increase it one more time. Thus we had a small period to time when it was quite cheap to produce anything in Russia, now it is almost over.
There is no solution which can satisfied both sides, the seller and the buyer, I understand it. The easiest way would be to return the money for those who doesn’t agree with the new price, paying the interest according to the average bank rate of deposit. I think that would be quite correctly from the financial point of view but I don’t like it from the custom loyalty point of view.
Yes, I found myself in quite a difficult situation and have no right answer to it yet. But I will try to find the way which could meet the majority’s interest. The only think I cannot accept the way of talking like in above quoted message 🙂

Sorry Ride, everybody’s not bailing out. Im waiting on my Lelya in .22 to arrive 😎 . Im sure those who dropped out have legitimate reasons. Maybe I’m a fool but I’ve been waiting to get one in my hands for at least 3 years. I dont want to have to wait another 3 years so I’m going to jump while the jumping is good. Now for those who only have room for one pcp in their lives, I could understand why you may want more power. But for most of us here who are serious about the sport, we have more than one gun anyway, ranging from low to high power. If you need more power than what the Lelya has, use one of your other guns. You guys already know that you cannot use the same tool for every job anyway. Oh wait, except for one 😆 In short, don’t let such a small amount of money get in the way of something you KNOW you really want. Remember, we waited for this shipment for over a year. I wonder how long the next shipment of Lelya’s will take 🙄 get your Lelya’s guys!
Ride Taipan Mutants are made in the Ukraine. They are not from China. They are REALLY good guns. I had a Standard Mutant (sold) and I currently have a shorty. I cannot say enough about how good they really are.
Maybe if everyone bails but me I can buy em all, good idea. Only thing is they will need to drop to 900 first, where they should be relative to R3M prices. Weren’t R3M’s getting blown out at $1350 a month or two ago. Tony quoted the lelyas at $1299 back when the R3M’s were much much higher. What were R3m’s selling for new a year ago. ???

Well I got the Lelya coming and the R3 .30! I will write these up when I get them. The R3 .30 is going to get a video review, I now have a camera so I will do one soon. :8:
