Just a pic of the Tactical Utilitran Rifle Design striaght from the Voleworks design dept. This is what ive come up with …. 😕
Its .177 , 15 round mag , collapsible stock , AR grip , pump action , shrouded , 70 shot regulated and at 70cm long.
I wanted to design a gun for the guys who do ” Ratting ” as its known over here ,so its a small take down type gun to shoot rats in barns. If i get the drawings finished in the next couple of weeks the first prototype should start soon arfter on my mates new CNC machining centers .
Ive been drawing on Auto CAD for weeks , and im now experiencing the joys of learning 3D CAD ( for this and my CNC mill).
So i thought id see what you guys like / dislike because its not going to be for sale in the USA …hehe !. 😀

close in with a scope is almost useless. I use my 350 magnum for close in work and the condor for the long shots .

Pab, you realize fluting is to reduce weight on large barrels right? So it was pretty unnecessary with a lightweight barrel…..

Well ive got no idea of how long its took to get this far , maybe 80 hours 😕 . Its been abit of along project because the CNC mill conversion took longer than planned to complete.

Damit i missed that one …… it could of been T.U.R.D Brown ….. 😀 im looking at making a coloured gun other than black .
Its news to me that anodising can increase size 😯 , ive always made my guns tight on tolerances and let the anodising remove metal for play with the parts , as of yet ive only removed metal not put it on. I need a new power supply of at least 12 amps and play some more with my setup.

Anodising can actually increase size of a part. It al depends on time! Keep your bath cool and just keep it in longer!
I like the multitone colour sheme! If I didn’t know better I’d think it should look like that!

So i shortened the air cylinder to 300mm long as it was the max my lathe would take and the final length came to 52cm / 20″ inch from the breach to end cap .
Ive fitted a silencer which will have two pieces of .1mm shim steel ( once i find some ! 😕 ) fitted on the “V” part , which will close behind the pellet blocking the following air. Be intresting to see how good it works as its only 10cm long … time will tell but i dont think it will be that quiet 😕 .
As far as sights i was thinking of a multi Reticle Holographic dot sight rather than open sights but with them costing £20 i might half buy a mini scope for £40 and get more flexability. If i had somewhere to go ratting then id go for the dot sight 🙁 . So just the pump foregrip to complete but this is going to be some time off as im about to have a operation on my hand and il be out of action for about a month i would think . Ive got a test front grip that needs more work but with only 4 days to go im going to run out of time ….. so dont hurrie back for an update 😀 .
