The T.U.R.D Coming !
Just a pic of the Tactical Utilitran Rifle Design striaght from the Voleworks design dept. This is what ive come up with …. 😕
Its .177 , 15 round mag , collapsible stock , AR grip , pump action , shrouded , 70 shot regulated and at 70cm long.
I wanted to design a gun for the guys who do ” Ratting ” as its known over here ,so its a small take down type gun to shoot rats in barns. If i get the drawings finished in the next couple of weeks the first prototype should start soon arfter on my mates new CNC machining centers .
Ive been drawing on Auto CAD for weeks , and im now experiencing the joys of learning 3D CAD ( for this and my CNC mill).
So i thought id see what you guys like / dislike because its not going to be for sale in the USA …hehe !. 😀

Well this is what happens when you use an unknown grade of alloy 😕 . The breach came out black but the rest came out grey as it didnt take the dye. The trigger group suffered worse with a few blotches and some red flecks coming through , the camera pics make it look alot worse that it is , so im going to have to live with it 😯 .
Few more bits to anodise and il have to see how the anodising turns out on the cylinder maybe it will be grey too!. I dont mind the two / three tone colour , in fact the graphite grey is very much a colour im arfter , but not this time . So now its anodised i can finish the barrel collar ( anodising removes metal ) as ive now got a finished size in the breach bore and the shroud to fit .

Yeh its going to be shot blasted before anodising . Setting up the CNC took alot of time 😕 . Still got to fiddle with the Z axis as its not running the full length of the axis without some binding but i think its sortable. Then when got to sort a CAM program out as i used my 40 evaluations just learning how to use the dam thing.

Work has finaly resumed at the underground Voleworks facility. In recent months its been brought to my attention that the name of the rifle ie Tactical Utilitran Rifle Design ( T.U.R.D ) has an alternate meaning. As a result of this error ive sacked the head of the PR dept and hes been moved too the finance dept where he can do no harm. Il also be reviewing other product names , mainly the B.B.R (Buba,s Butt Ring ) …for some reason it just sounds wrong ?.
So ARMA PAR has replased the original name , not exactly how i wanted it to look but it was a first try.
Ive got my mini mill CNC, d on all three axis finaly and im just running trial programs to see if it cuts correctly.
The cylinder has been also been shortened to 300mm long and ive found the springs to finish , so il be anodising shortly with the hope of finishing before the end of the year …. maybe ! 😀

Think i will have to buy some 3mm springs 😕 . There not much left to make mainly the barrel , shroud and to find 3 springs . Ive got to finish the CNC, ing of my mill . I need the Z axis done so i can engrave the side as im not leaving that to anyone else , i learnt that from my T4.
Finding time at the moment is a real pain , also the girlfriends engine just ground to a halt all thanks to a crap service by the dealer. They had managed to fit the oil filter wrong and the engine ground its self to bits. So that the next time consuming fight to prove its there fault and find £3000 to get a new engine , any cheap lawyers out ther in the east of England ….. 😀 ….LoL.
Lazy ……hmmm! ….. i wish i had time to be lazy …. the devil always seams to find me plenty of work right now ! 👿

Man, it’s not even together yet and it still looks like a killing machine.
