Just saw Evgenys post on Facebook, he has made side cocking lever for Vulcan. It will fit all the generations of Vulcan and Tactic. Can be fitted on left or right side. 100€ plus shipping.

Small left twist drill.
Alternatively, you can drill out the head carefully. That will leave enough shaft to grab onto and remove once the hinge block is off.
BTW, my go to tools….
ARRRRGGGH – I stripped the head of the longer bolt that attaches the rear of the cocking lever

On the older bolt handles that don’t have a hex on the end, remove the outer o-ring from the handle to reveal a drilled through hole in the handle.
You can pass an allen key through that hole as a torque handle.
The outboard end should have a hex in it… At least mine did. :8:
My sidelever showed up today!! I must be dumb, but is the old bolt handle easy to remove? I was lucky in that my old sideplate screws came out easy, now I have to figure out a way to remove the bolt without marking it up.

Salt, I just did a pellet check, 67 tins of 18.1 gr sitting out in the barn. I’m good for a month or so.

ok- I got out the long rear screw that has the stripped head.
I thought about it for a bit and rotated the whole block/arm and that loosened the screw.
However, NOW – i have only one good long screw so I used one of the short ones for now… probably only has like two threads engaged (sigh)
