Risk of AD when cocking the gun.

Why would it not be good on the right side for a left handed shooter?

Keep the left hand on the grip/trigger – rifle butt in shoulder and retain cheek weld – rack the bolt with the right hand
I use a center fire bolt action this way.

Jameswrx, on what side you ended up with a biathlon lever. Was it the original cocking knob side. or opposite?

Right side, it is the natural feeing side for a lever like this (if you’re right handed)

I wish I would have had the possibility to buy a 110 USD part to make the matador R3M cycling properly, instead of throwing it into the trash altogether :8:

:hoot:

Oh never mind….just more pearls lost to the hoards.

Ha, yeah, because Edguns are flawless

With such a lever, the guy who created this topic can push the spiralling pieces of lead even faster:

am i the only one who thinks the brazilian guy has his design ripped off by evgeny – the lever sure looks similar …

If that’s the case then the Brazilian guy “ripped off” my idea posted in April of this year, way before he came out with his mod: :dito:

It’s not the same Fatdude, its like this.

110 USD just seems very high to me. Am I alone?

No…you are not alone… we also think, it is expensive … 70 USD including shipping is a good and wise cost

But I agree, cheaper is always better and this is not a must buy :biggrinn:

Probably many guys having already the current “old” Vulcan will purchase also the new one where the new lever probably will be standard so I don’t know if it is worth retro fitting this one.

Hi Subaru kid alias Jameswrx

Interesting this Evgeny side lever.

Think you were the first in Uk with this and I was first in France. Prior to ordering from our Brazilian connection I emailed Evgeny about this asking whether he was going to make a side lever. No says he. Market forces at work here. Do I assume all new models have this side lever? If my plastic version breaks would buy the Evgeny one .

What is this about non double loading magazine for the Vulcan? News to me.

IMO the worst mag is the old rapid / fx dating back to early 1990’s.
Cricket ok . Vulcan acceptable. Daystate better than both.
Haven’t tried other FX mag system or other makes,
When sometime ago I said to Tony Belas (Daystate boss) thought his guns were very good but for the money it was a shame that his magazines could be double loaded. He got very abusive using the F. .k word and said you had to be stupid double loading. UM ………….

Guess he had been talking to MR FX as he swore using similar words when I pointed out that the Monsoon was flawed, having returned it to the factory for repairing the semi auto system. When you get it back says Mr FX it will work perfectly. Well it didn’t , not semi auto , kept misloading or not semi auto cocking . Just the same as before. Actually worse because the spring is so strong that the bolt detente cannot hold action open. Has now to be held back manually. Uses the old rapid style magazine system. Still it looks nice in my wardrobe as a clothes rack.

Safe shooting

I agree, 100 even 120 is doable. But with all the bank charges it just does not make any sense.

I’m gonna ask again as it seems nobody has answered me on either thread…

Can you not use Transferwise app? Can just download it on your phone and it’s so much easier than messing with your bank.

On $100 transfer the fee is $2

No brainier surely?

quote jfrazier30:

I understand it’s expensive to buy the rights to the design (from the Brazilian fellow). and it’s equally expensive to produce the parts…

I’m just thinking in terms of what it’s worth to ME. over 100 bucks to make my gun just a little bit better?

I’m just bouncing the “Value” around in my head.

If it was 50 bucks, it would be a no-brainer! :biggrinn:

I might be wrong but I don’t think he bought the rights to the design?? Doubt it was patented?

Also, the Brazilian guy posted on Facebook saying he copied his design so doubtful he would say that if he’d sold the design to him.

I don’t think there was anything to sell in regards to intellectual property, might be wrong but surely you can just produce whatever as long as it’s not under any patent or intellectual property law? For all we know Evgeny could have been considering a side cocking lever on his next release, it’s the only thing everyone complains about on the Vulcan so would have thought it was on the radar surely?

The hinge point mount looks identical so I would say Evgeny has borrowed that but the way it secures to the actual barrel slider is much better on Evgeny’s design.
