I like Zonkers set up. But where the hell has he been. What’s his thoughts on the Vulcan and the MCT V-Connect? Come on Zonk what I tell you about Lead Peckers Moms stay away. Bad News

Nothing wrong with that way of mounting it. I did mine the same way and never had a change in POI eventhough i always pick up the gun using the Scope as a handle.

Was i Zonkey i’d move the rearmost mount as far back as possible and the forwardmost as far forward as possible. And I used smaller/slimmer mounts as my solution.

Ville,

To be clear, I’m referring to the way zonk is mounting on the vulcan below (may be lower mounts but same positioning)

Are you saying i can pick up and hold the gun from the scope with no concern?

By the way I read somewhere that Leningrad was once Finnish territory now I know why you want Eds head.

Leningrad Finnish territory? Not really. Leningrad sucks and so did Lenin and so does Ed.

LOL No one loves seeing the Finn pissed off and disgruntled more them me.

I like the viper connect and in particular its impressive FOV. Sounds like great hunting scope.
I have just one problem with it (which could be just me and I know it may sounds weird as a reason). I do tend to use the scope to pick up my gun (yeah and i like the ease of that). Now i grab it in the area between the two mounts in my typical scopes. Somehow looking at the way the viper is mounted (which looks nice and unique) still make me nervous that I feel its possible to impact the POI if I were to hold the gun from the scope!

Fear not. You can lift it that way without any change in POI.

Ville is a funtional drunk he can’t do a damned thing right without a few in him. As for my fellow American Sheep I take no responsibility for them just myself u misrsble Finn.

Honestly I think the Finn is useless when he is not drinking.

A sober Finn useless ? Even when most sober ( happens rarely ) a Finn is about 3 times more useful than a Yank in his prime. 🙂

Anyway – i’ve used a Connect on both Crickets (4.5 Compact and 6.35 ) and on the Vulcan. I used either Leupold Mk4 or Warne QD on them all with great success. I remember that since i was properly drunk.

Honestly I think the Finn is useless when he is not drinking.

Once more : FANCY SOLUTIONS NOT NEEDED ! Use two regular rings of the thinner modell and that’s it.

Here’s a 4th option.
