What scope dresses the Vulcan?
All Replies
I can’t tell you what I payed, it’s a secret between Villee and I. 😀
Medium.
Has anyone found an offset mount like the “ConnectAMount” mount that is for a picatinny/weaver rail?
If one was to use the maxima quick detach rings, which works best – low or medium?

THEY HAVE EM AT AoA 399.00
Talk to Jeff he is really nice, $ 379.00 AMD radical only, he may also give you additional discount if you tell him I sent you.
The last time I checked the shipping in the USA was free with all scope purchases.

Also another option on the rings.

How much green does it take to get one? But the mounting is a bit hair raising to me

 I’m waiting…………………
Just wait untill Zonkey has tried his soon-to-arriving Connect. He’ll love it. The weight is distributed right above the hand holding the stock = very good.

+1, A good example, moldern archery target bows with long stablizers with weight on the far end of the stablizer to minimize lft to rt or rt to lft movements. In my case 95% of my hunting and practicing shooting is off hand. I prefer more weight towards the muzzle to minimize windage errors.
I like the connect but I think the added weight towards the muzzle(due to mounting position) from a conventional scope is good for more stable off hand shooting. This is for short bullpups. I think a longer more nose heavy bull might have its weight distributed enough for the Connect.

Man that scope mount on the top is high. I’m with Wingman and Nomadic Pirate on keeping the center of the scope as close as you could to the center of the barrel bore without hindering proper cheek weld.
How “different” is the very short eye relief, did it take much getting used to?
Do you use special rings for the Viper Connect on the Vulcan?
The Viper is a few ounces heavier that for example the Hawke Panorama 4-12×50. Is the Viper much better than other 4-12 scopes?
pretbek,
Getting used to the short eye relief depends on the operator/shooter. It doesn’t need any special ring/s at all. This is my Sako Quad .22LR. It’s in the process of getting some make-over. I use it to train for my full size rifles. The MTC Viper Connect is mounted on the LT152 Comp M2 RAS II Mount QD from LaRue Tactical. I am field testing the setup for myself and another member on here. I only have 1 airgun (P12), yes I’m an airgun newbie, it has a weaver style rail so I couldn’t mount it on the P12. :angrymob: Anyhow the mount is 1.2 inch high, a bit too high for my liking on a rifle. Also this scope is meant for a low recoiling rifle due to the SHORT EYE RELIEF!!! I stress this unless you want to wear this scope on your forehead. 😀
Brother Ville,
Thank you for your feedback. Looking for a separate ring mounts, low to medium high for my 22 trainer build. Spuhr are pricey for sure. It seems for my applications the Spuhrs will be offer me more versatility. In this case buy once cry once. 😯

I guess it’s deep pocket and short arms kind of deal.
