more ACCURACY issues please help!!!
So I was finally able to get to the range again today at 100 and 50 yards.my accuracy with bags is less then I would expect from a 1700 dollar rifle 2300 dollar system. The rifle has over1400 rounds threw it and it has been tuned by me as some of you know. Just yesterday I reconfirmed my fps here is my results. not only is my accuracy not as good as i thought it would be but the shrould changes the poa by 2 1/2 inches at 100 yards it is not hit, i think it is either due to weight or harmonics of the barrel. i free floated the airtube before also so airtube changes should not be and issue. could my accuracy issues be due to the wrong fps for my gun? could i send my rifle back after this long of having it? should i send it back? i am at a loss with this rifle! i spent just about everything i got to own one and it does nothing that people claim they do!!!!! this gun has brought me more stress then three kids have ever, because at least i can spank children! can’t spank the cricket! well it wouldn’t do me any good!

You mean the accuracy Mike ?
Well so far the Mutant Shorty (160 shot so far) new out of box shoots as well as my Cricket 22 Standard did out of box.
At 30 yards and new they both do/did 3/8″ ctc groups.
In time the Cricket 22 Standard (some 24,000 + shots the last I counted) improved to staking them at 30 yards and only time will tell if the Mutant will also, but I’m sure like most it will.
It has a very similar shooting hold as my Cricket Compact 177 cal inwhich it needs a firmer hold for it to group well.

Yes, I always shooting with both eyes open.
Great for hunting to, aids in a quicker acquisition on game also.

Well I must be different than most, after years of shooting I just let my finger decide when the time is right, at least that’s what I tell people. I think my brain and my finger have something going on and I have no plans on interrupting the relationship, works very well for me.
I had a friend, in the younger years, who I consider blessed with the ability to shoot well and tried to teach me how he shoots but never picked it up or at least consciously I didn’t. As he told me, “ you can’t keep from moving so embrace it by timing it”. He would pattern his movement with either a three or four point count and fire upon the last point. May I say it worked very well for him.

So I am on vacation right now but yes the accuracy issue is fixed 🙂 thanx for asking I think most of the issue had to do with me as a shooter and other issues were the obvious shroud clipping and stock screws being way to tight!
My .22 Cricket set to 880 fps using JSB 18.1 piles one pellet on top of another. I clean the barell with patches and a little Remoil then about 3 dry patches and it’s all good. I clean about every 250 shots and not because accuracy falls off, just feel like it. If you are having accuracy issues, something besides a dirty barell is the problem.
Chad try to use ordinary pellets no lubed. I know it is not common for all barrel but my barrel hate lubed pellets. When I shoot lubed pellets result is 100% worst than unlubed pellets.

Chad if you are using lubed pellets with a cleaned barrel it will take some time to see results. But in your case if it was this windy there are too many variables involved. Wind and gusts of wind mess up for whole thing. You really have to try 100 yards with little to no wind.

When you shoot beyond 30 yards, you are testing the pellet and not the gun. Obviously, at such a distance the barrel no longer has any control of the pellet. It’s all up to the pellet from that point, maybe even less than that distance :thumb:
Yeah I am starting to figure that out! Wind is an airgunners worst night mare!
