1st Rogue in…….NOT GOOD
If you haven’t seen it over on the Yellow, the 1st Rogue experience is not a good one.
I have to say that even today, i am still amazed at how folks will DEFEND a gun that doesn’t shoot well and its manufacturer. Were is the FIGHT in all of us anymore? Everyone is telling the guy to send the gun back to Crosman and Crosman will make it right. Am i the only IDIOT who still beieves in the simple principle that if they don’t get it right the first time then why give them a second one. For 1300-1500 bucks, 25 bucks for 25 bullets, and a shit load of HYPE, if i got results like what that guy got, Crosman would receive a RETURN package from me alright, but my Rogue would not be in it…lol. It just amazes me how folks get crap and all anyone can say is, “they’ll do you right, send it back”. It cost time and money to ship a gun “ONCE PAID FOR” back for repairs or service that it SHOULD NOT NEED in the first place. Trust me, i know that if i DO NOT know how to work on airguns, then i have no choice but to return it but this is simply BULLSHIT.
I guess my attitude comes from having one too many AIRguns that cost a ton of money have issues from the jump. BB guns simply COST waaayyy to fucking much money for what they are and for the problems they have to exist when NEW.

Innovative? An electronic trigger is old hat and the Rogue system hasn’t even been proven yet (unlike the other electronic system that is the cat’s ass).

Hand built by people who care a lot about how it works and it’s near perfect when it leaves the factory. That is the anthesis of a Rogue in my opinion… I guarentee you the first three highest dollar Ferrari’s off the line worked perfectly, unlike the first three of the highest dollar Rogues that fucking leak air…

There isn’t even anything plastic that you can touch in a Ferrari… If it was ANYWHERE near Ferrari quality it would have one of the finest wood or carbon fiber stocks available on an airgun. With a leather cheek rest to boot.
It’s now no wonder to me why people thing the MRod is great, we are so accustomed to absolute crap we now think shitty shit is quality shit. American “sports cars” (Mustangs, Camaros) were sold with TRUCK suspensions until only a few years ago. The Italians have had four wheel independent suspensions since the 40’s and the Japanese since the 60’s…

I would imagine Crosman sent the best barrel to Nosler on their best Rogue. So unless that barrel is standardized the accuracy of the production models with the same pellet is anyone’s guess…
I have not had good times with Nosler bullets in my 223 to be honest… Same rifle shoots Sierra bullets 5 shots into 1/2″, the Nosler bullets were 4″ groups at best (groups shot on the same day, eight plus different charge weights and I shot two five shot groups with each 0.2 grain increments from one over min to one under max recommended for the ball and that type of powder).
I still have a few Nosler bulleted cartridges that I use to foul the barrel after cleaning. 😆

I’m thinking that Nosler HAD to have done some R@D developing those slugs, and that they really should be pissed off if their slugs don’t prove to be accurate anytime soon, and their slugs get a lot of bad press due to Crosman dropping the ball on QC. The combination of that rifle and their airgun slugs is supposed to (somewhat) justify their price, right?
Is there a market for custom sized sinkers? Won’t the Rogue sink on its own? 😆 😆 😆
How long does the battery last submerged? How long do the bubbles last? What if someone finds the anchor and outshoots RC? …oops, forfet that last one!
All kidding aside, I’m wondering if Crosman and Nosler really did the homework required for great accuracy. I’m certain the PA stuff is crap but I would have expected Crosman and Nosler to combine for a superlative slug/gun match not just a slug that fits…

I really do not know what the problem is finding a suitable 9MM mold.
Just have RJ send you some of his sinkers he shoots deer with in his rifle, have a custom mold maker copy them. 😆
Which might just be the ultimate use for the Rogue, you can use it for an anchor, lord knows if the anchor rope breaks or comes untied, you will still be able to find the damn thing, just follow the bubbles.

I’ve thought about trying to make a decent 9mm/.356/.357 or whatever round but never saw anything but wasted money there. The market seems really small and the range of barrels too big to meet with sizing off of one good mold.
I guess if the Rogue was taking off like wildfire with great reports, and there was another group of guns that might benefit, we’d give it a shot… I’m pretty sure folks don’t want to pay what Nosler charges but custom slugs are not cheap to develope unless you get really lucky.

When I read that, I as not so sure, that he was remarking about how good it shot at 50 meters, not that he had shot it at 50 meters.
A lot is lost in the translation there I fear.
Your right, someone who kno0ws big bores needs to shoot it and see what it does.
Lets find 30 guys on here to all chip in $50.00 and buy a TAG Forum Rogue and let Chris shoot it for 6 monthd to see how it does, then hand it off to Cedric and on down the line.

What happened to the days when we could just take a tank, put air in it, gage it, pull back the bolt incert proper pellet, take off safety, and just pull trigger, and Shoot?
I like all my Benjamine Guns, I have the entire set, But I’ll pass on the Rogue, I watched how it is supposed to be aired up, IMHO they expect a user to take it to a Watch maker to fuel it, and every time the weather changes we have to recalibrate it, not to mention when we get ready to shoot it we get an electronic malefunction.
I don’t think I want to go up against a Raccon that has had a bad day and sasy hold it till I get it right and I’ll shoot you. Nah not me,,.
That gun is a Nerd Gun, and Nerd Guns don’t belong in the hills 😀 😀
