Q:

1st Rogue in…….NOT GOOD

If you haven’t seen it over on the Yellow, the 1st Rogue experience is not a good one.

I have to say that even today, i am still amazed at how folks will DEFEND a gun that doesn’t shoot well and its manufacturer. Were is the FIGHT in all of us anymore? Everyone is telling the guy to send the gun back to Crosman and Crosman will make it right. Am i the only IDIOT who still beieves in the simple principle that if they don’t get it right the first time then why give them a second one. For 1300-1500 bucks, 25 bucks for 25 bullets, and a shit load of HYPE, if i got results like what that guy got, Crosman would receive a RETURN package from me alright, but my Rogue would not be in it…lol. It just amazes me how folks get crap and all anyone can say is, “they’ll do you right, send it back”. It cost time and money to ship a gun “ONCE PAID FOR” back for repairs or service that it SHOULD NOT NEED in the first place. Trust me, i know that if i DO NOT know how to work on airguns, then i have no choice but to return it but this is simply BULLSHIT.

I guess my attitude comes from having one too many AIRguns that cost a ton of money have issues from the jump. BB guns simply COST waaayyy to fucking much money for what they are and for the problems they have to exist when NEW.

AM I THE ONLY ONE?

I’m not sure the comment about the pressure wasn’t a language issue. We could really use a guy that knows airguns (not just has a couple expensive ones), knows how to test (doen’t just repeat a bad test), and can speak and write english to report on this gun. I just don’t think we’ve heard from a guy yet that’s competent with big bores.

The Rogue might have something to do with that also. If PB guys decide it’s a neat thing to try for some reason, they’ll be newbies to airguns. If guys who like extreme models buy it for the electronics and “bigger Daystate” feel, they will be big bore newbies too.

I don’t think guys that are already shooting DAQs or Rangers or Barnes big bores are going to be interested in an expensive, low-mid power mid bore.

That leaves guys that are moving up from modded or Korean .25s or guys that have Korean 9mm’s or .45s and want something new…

So, sell something and get the Rogue. Hoot will take up a collection for you just as soon as his government sponsored hooker finishes up!

I don’t think he watched the fill video 🙄 . Looks like he got it filled and then, within a few hours saw good ❓ accuracy at 50 meters.

I think you need to buy one so we can get a decent report. C’mon, Chris, take one for the team! 😆

LOL maybe if I had P-Dog towns, or good woodchuck/rockchuck habitat to set-up a shooting table over for awhile. But I hunt/stalk predators for the most part……the Rogue is just to big for that in it’s current form. That, and I just can’t afford it anyways lol!

Plus, I think it’s a good idea to wait awhile after the release of any rifle, to see the bugs get worked out of it.

Hopefully the air leaking is just from “loose” assembly. Got to wonder about the electronics saying to much psi when there is no air in the rifle, though.

WOW strike frickin’ three? Crosman is going to be backed-up like Greg Davis at this rate

Were the hell is CHIP HUNICUT anyways. He was pushing the sales of this gun now he is not around. Well, at least he is NOT responding.

He’s busy looking for a good crow recipe.

Maybe all the Crosman folks are having Koolaid.

LOL…sorry for my sarcasm on the Cabelas Review but come on….that is no one other than a CROSMAN salesman typing that review. It sounds more like a SALES PITCH that an actual post based off of experience. Just my .02 cents

oK, so what’s the big deal about filling the E-PCP? Its exactly the same as filling ANY other airgun out there. You fill ANY pcp from 0 the exact same way……slowly. The seal of the valve he was referring to was the VALVE STEM sealing against the valve body. That’s the EXACT same as in any pcp. On EMPTY, most mainsprings are too strong for the valve return spring so, the valve stem is held open. But when you fill the gun, the pressure coming into the air tube PLUS the strength of the valve return spring OVERCOMES the hammer/main spring and closes the valve body off from air flow via the top hat on the vale stem. No different than any other gun. Once JC and Brian filled their PCP’s to 3000 psi, the gun should have held air.

Oh, I didn’t see anything unreasonable about that video showing the initial fill. Of course, you should only have to fill from 0-3000 once!

Don’t count on it Nostradamus! 😆

I’d love to see a decent non-professional PR guy review before I form a lasting opinion but I’m not impressed so far with any part of this guns roll-out or hype.

I like the concept but the execution is not impressive.

Now, if it takes Timmy and I to find an accurate slug for this gun, well, that could happen! I’m thinking we charge about 55 cents each…. 😆 😆 😆

He could have set the electronics to the “discharge” mode. 😉

I’m still waiting for people to tweak the system to show a heavier than used bullet weight on different powers to trick the rifle into different speeds.

Something tells me the weight input menu is only for the cpu to figure out the rough number of shots left. Realtime valve and pressure synchronization sounds a bit lofty in my book.

Wonder how long it will be until someone Frankensteins the trigger and solenoid group into another rifle… 😯 😀

I see a 357 in your future Jerry. 😉 😉 😉 😉

Oh, here is the video for filling from zero…

Seems to me that unless Crosman has thousands of Rogues out there that don’t leak and the ONLY two that leak have been the ones with posted results….they have a problem!

That first reply about filling is stupid beyond civil contradiction! Air that was in the gun, left the gun without shots being fired, if fill rate had anything to do with THAT, they better recall the guns.

Curious stuff about the no fires and low power shots though. It sounds like an overfill to me (not filled too fast, but filled too high). I had the same condition when I read the wrong scale filling a Sumatra way back when…who the hell wants to read “Bar” off a gauge anyhow? 😆

Nonetheless, even if the gun got overfilled, it shouldn’t be leaking. It would be a remarkable coincidence that the first two reports were on guns with failed or fouled foster fittings. I think Crosman better being doing their own baloon tests and unscrewing leaks toot sweet. That’s a noone to blaim but Crosman issue…

Accuracy: I don’t think this last post really gave a good report what with all the rushing around and dealing with slow shots etc… That said, if the gun shoots a 2″ group at 30 yards with the fancy Nosler ammo, I see an opportunity for Timmy! I don’t know how even a crappy barrel shoots that bad at 30 yards. I don’t think I’m jaded, at 30 yards with the wrong (as in not best) ammo, my kids shoot better groups with springers. With my big bores, I get pissed (seriously) when 100 yards groups get anywhere near 2″!

Come on RC, repeat after me.

“They are just filling it wrong.”

And.

“They have excellent customer service.”

😆

After all we call Windows and OSX “operating systems”. Fucking things should be called “slightly operating systems” with all the times they crash and all the stuff that works one day but not the next.

You’d think Microsoft would make a flight sim that actually works on their OWN system… AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA…

Nope. Crashes more than ANY other game I own.

From the telephone conversation reported on by the owner of the 2nd Rogue on the yellow, it sounds like a design flaw that Crosman is aware of and apparently does not know how to fix it.

What say you Crosman lovers .

Is it just me or is the silence deafing? 😈
