25.5 fpe @ 65yds…I was blown away at the power…
I, for some reason, thumbed my nose up at anything less than 35fpe because I had no idea how much knock down power that was at longer distances…Well today I shot some Beeman Kodiaks at some pellet tin lids at 65yds with a muzzle fpe of 25.5 and I could not believe the amount of force that was still left at 65yds….I would say it is more than enough for any small game at that distance and possible 10-20 yds further….After going through the pellet tins, the pellets were buried in treated pine that has been sitting outside for over a year. It was not soft. I could see these shots going straight through any small game at this distance…

I could ask for better but I don’t know if I could get it
with a 10-15 mph wind at 65yds….I am pretty happy
with these results…..2,750psi PW 10….JSB seems to
be out performing the Kodiaks. Go figure….Hopefully
the JSB Exact extra heavys will be somewhere in between…
The JSB group on the bottom right is 1.24″
Gotta figure out what could be hanging and on what, up for looking at the trigger group’s levers to check for burrs, unusual wear marks?

Thanks for the proding…I finally pulled the sear and didn’t find what I thought I should…No sharp edges or burrs to speak of. I polished up the back side of the sear where it contacts the hammer and put it back together….The hammer slides nice and smooth through the frame without the sear so it is not getting hung on the frame anywhere….I am going to shoot it on PW 10 without the weight for a while and see how it goes….That was the most consistant this gun has been since I got it….Maybe now I know why the guy sold it….Not sure what else to do….
than work on shooting groups?

Personally don’t know if there’s a unique reason on a Air Force gun’s design as to why moly couldn’t be used on a hammer, logically it would be best to contact Air Force, MAC1 or Air Hog to get a definitive answer as to what can be used(or if lube is completely out of the question) on the hammer.
Definitely better safe than sorry.

Was this off of one fill? Wonder how a fresh fill and JSB’s with PW at 6 will group?

This was a fresh fill Tony…2850psi I shot 2 groups of Kodiacs then 2 groups of JSB then a group of Kodiaks.
I am so afraid I will screw something up if I pull the trigger apart is gives my hives just thinking about it…I would go nuts if I don’t have something to shoot….When I got into this I bought 2 guns just so I could tinker with one while having the other as a spare incase something went wrong….BUT, I really need to get that out of the way…
It is 100% better since I lubed up and smoothed out
the black plastic or what ever that ring is made out
of on the hammer. I am going to go see what it does
on different PW settings after putting the weight back in…..

This suppose to be the best SAVAGESAM..And I have some 3M silicon spray that is thin….I have used them both…..
Keep the ideas coming…We’ll get it figured out come hell or high water….
lubes on metal to metal…moly or maybe graphite on the hammer o.d. but still, if its hanging up on something, sounds like more than a little lube is gonna do the trick…

Seems the more PW I give it the tighter the groups….

I knew when I shot it that it was way different…That

top 2 groups are JSB and the Bottom 3 are Kodiaks…
Wind blowing 15mph from the right to the left….
then again, lots of guns do, as they are very consistent pellets(manufacturing tolerance wise) and soft lead…
