Cricket or Edgun POLL
Which do you prefer and why?
I don’t have neither but looking seriously into the Cricket. To me it has all the advantages over Edgun: price, shot count, superior regulator, magazine (that works) and looks. I’m going to wait a few months to see if they come up with a .25 compact. Otherwise I think I will get the .22 tactical standard. I just love the size of the .22 standard. Would prefer the .25 but it’s a little too long for me…

Yes, you definitely correct,,, i hope Eduard take this into consideration and make spare parts available at everywhere… around the world… this is very important for me also,, since i have to bring even an o-rings from outside of my FUCKING oily country…..

Exactly, Ed is a single man. If something ever happened to him or if he just decided to “retire”, then who would service your Edgun? So, unless he build a factory like you said, he cannot compete with other “real” companies. I believe a few years ago, Edgun was the ONLY bullpup around and that’s why it was so popular. Also added to that it’s so damn hard to get added to the demand. But now that there’s highly, higly rated Kalibrgun Cricket, being mass-produced to the mass, Edgun is in big trouble.
No offense taken, Bro. I know that and that is the reason that gives all the EdGun´s the Soul i´ve always talked about. It still doesn´t change the fact the spares market is a joke. No one wants to sit and wait parts for three to four months for a gun that costs as much as these guns cost. Every buyer has the right to expect fine machining quality and such for the money they pay for these rifles too.

If the EdGun had the parts service even half as good as that of KalibrGun´s and if those irritating small clitches (mostly bad machining related) were not a concern it would be my choice.

i don’t hate Cricket nor any other airguns, i don’t mind to buy/ own all brands, specially Cricket, my second choice will be Cricket after Edgun, you know i am an addicted damn man for Airguns???
i want to say, when Eduard’s single man Business will grow up and he will build his own Factory and about 1000 labors will work for his Edguns (Like Cricket or other brands), Edguns and its spare parts will be available throughout the world, then Cricket and the rest of the air rifles dooms day will come up ….
Edgun is a single man power creature that can faced all the high brands… think about this… isn’t it?????

They actually are. I have memories from my earlier kickboxing days when there were no girls in the sport . Somewhere in the mid eighties that changed and many girls became interrested of all kinds of fighting sports – and bodybuilding. In many tournaments the best fights were between girls , simply because some of them would never loose heart and were seemingly determined to tear the opponent in bits. Much like angry female dogs or alfa females in a pack of Wolfs. Crazy bitches …
Now my take on the OT :

The feel of the EdGun, when you hold/shoot it , is better than that of the Cricket and i like it´s looks more too. I can forgive the lesser trigger but those other things are too much and before that´s fixed ( and i don´t mean by the owner since a gun at that price range needs to have things right from the get-go) it will be the looser for me. The Cricket build quality is better as is the finish of the machined parts, the MS functions much better as does the trigger AND parts are readily available thruout Europe (would you need any) while the accuracy is the same between those two. That means my Vote goes for the Bug. :horse: :horse:

We don´t allow fatties in our household. That has nothing to do with me being against fat people (after all i´m friends with Dr. Evil 😀 ) but the fact that we´re poor and seldom get any food on the table. I´m considering a Dove hunt for the next Xmas so instead the Turkey we´ll have stuffed Pigeon on the Menu. I need to steal some pellets though since those cost money AND for the fact i´m a dirty thief by nature.

I don´t think EdGun will ever be in any trouble regarding the demand after those guns and the capability of producing them. Maybe Ed doesn´t want OR need to go for mass production? I think he shouldn´t do so. That would kill the Soul those guns have.That would make them mass-produced. The only thing needed is a supply of parts. Everything made in small batches has a delivery time but 3-4 months is a joke.
In my opinion he should have spare parts enough for the increasing amount of EdGuns being sold Worldwide and understand that people do get pissed when their high-dollar/high-euro guns are standing in the cabinet because there´s a problem in spares delivery.
I broke my first EdGun and after a two months waiting time for spares (that was a Warranty issue) i got tired of waiting and bought a second EdGun of exactly the same model. That gun had its own issues and i didn´t even bother to order those needed parts for it so i fixed those issues myself (lathe etc. work needed) but that somehow killed my EdGun spirit in the process.
I fixed the that gun, put in in the cabinet and i wasn´t thinking over any other PCP´s in my cabinet – i was done with those. For the moment at least.
Then i wanted to try a Cricket .25 and ordered one from Finland (cheaper) but the MF dealer MWM Trading never delivered the gun although i´d already paid for it. The whole airgunning kinda fell in the shades for a while and i went on with my powderburners.
Then i found a good dealer (again, in Finland ) who was willing to ship fast and so ordered the Cricket . 25. When i received it i was sceptical but after i realized it´s at least as accurate and powerful as the EdGun i slowly became a believer. Now, after some measly 800 or so shots, i really have to say i like it more than any EdGun i´ve owned. I simply like the fact it´s better build, has the same accuracy (at least) , it has a better trigger and it shoots with less deviation than the Ed. Add to that the two to three days parts supply and you have my winner.
