Cricket or Edgun POLL
Which do you prefer and why?
I don’t have neither but looking seriously into the Cricket. To me it has all the advantages over Edgun: price, shot count, superior regulator, magazine (that works) and looks. I’m going to wait a few months to see if they come up with a .25 compact. Otherwise I think I will get the .22 tactical standard. I just love the size of the .22 standard. Would prefer the .25 but it’s a little too long for me…

This is a sport to have fun with! Right now there are exciting new developments afoot, the new Edgun multi, the .30 Edgun single, the Cricket line, multi kits coming out next Summer should a body want one, and Evanix introduced a down right wicked looking “tactical .30 sniper rifle for under $1,000 USD. I wish they were regulated, but apparently there is no Korean word for “Regulated” so they can’t make one.
Anyway, feel free to jump in and play with the boys. Have some fun and share what you know. You can block the nut cases that interrupt the adults with their gibberish and hateful name calling.
The moderator, Walkonking, makes some dandy mods for the AF line, and some knives to die for. I believe he was just released from the state prison at Joliet, Illinois for the criminally insane, but he is back in business now, and chimes in from time….and as he likes to say…“I don’t care who the hell you are”, which is good because we don’t care who the hell he is either!!!
He lets us say what we wish…and we generally do.

Of course i stole them! Why pay for anything if you can steal it ? Like my Chinese knock-off´s everything i use – and endorse – is stolen. I stole the wife too – with that pole.

Just took a pic of one of my daughters with the Cricket. She tried it and now she wants one for herself too. Damn kids…
I believe there is no winner or loser,,, the reviews and reports are showing the reality of the performance… Brother Tregvy has posted a very great information about both, and those guys who own both can very easily spot the points and issues,,, but both can say are great and accurate… and the rest is just a very small things that Edgun has it and Cricket doesn’t have or Cricket has it and Edgun doesn’t have ….. this is just my very personal opinion … and also will depend on the buyer’s wish also … some would like to own both … some others not… some other guys would like to own all brands and versions (Just like Crazy me :14: ), i would like to buy all high quality airguns …. then my 2nd choice is .22LR…. then Shotguns…

You are right, Dave. A lot of the ‘hate’ is coming from people who either haven’t owned both guns, as I have, as has Sir Ville, who stole his guns, and he agrees both are fine guns, but he prefers the Cricket. (His wife is a hot chick! She was one of those Finnish “Pole Dancers” before they met.)

Own a cricket .25 but would love to own a Edgun too can’t believe how much of a heated subject there is in 2 guns I no lads with both apart from one multi shot one not cant see where all the hate comes from there only tools at the end of the day not are wives we all have different tastes in guns atvb dave g

The Cricket lever is also at a mechanical advantage compared with the bolt.
I´m not about to start an EdGun vs. Cricket debate but since i´ve owned/learned to know both of them i can give an un-biased opinion.
Those many moving parts are the reason it works as smoothly as it does. No doubt it´s far more complex than the EdGun counterpart but then again it works much better and with less effort – as you already know.

When I examined my Cricket, I did not like the complexity of the lever action and magazine mechanism. Too many parts!
It’s smooth, no doubt, but there’s a lot of moving parts in there.
It’s pretty good but not perfect. At least the 1st stage pull length and 2nd stage weight is perfect.
Cricket has a better, far more adjustable trigger. No question.

It´s never too late to get Cultivated. Knowing your opponent – inside & out – is the natural place to start. I strongly recommend those educational magazines to everyone !
