WWAG Charlie seemed to allude to that it would be dumb to lower the price in his post on the Yellow.

“The price they were offering on the Cricket just seemed to low to believe. They said the manufacturer had lowered the price so they decided to pass it on to us. I question why a manufacturer would willingy drop the price that much on an item in such a high demand with low supply.
The next thing I want to know, is why the FX Bobcat cost so much more.”

Could it be that Steve actually got the new lower prices and wanted to keep the extra profit instead of passing it along to his customers?

Could be… Could be…

Doesn’t sound like Steve.

But…

You never really know for sure.

Could it be that Steve actually got the new lower prices and wanted to keep the extra profit instead of passing it along to his customers?

WWAG does not have a exclusive on any one particular brand of airgun. AoA has. They can afford to sell cricket at 10% above their cost and not worry about it because they make their money on the FX line. WWAG’s bread and butter is the cricket line and has no exclusive on any brand that they can reap insane profits from.
They clearly have no advantage at all. If AoA is doing this to hurt small competitors just because they “can” that is plain and simple awful. Many will think no big deal its always been dog eat dog but America didn’t become what it was 20 years ago by using these sleezy business tactics. America is going down hill because we are starting to believe we can use any tactic out there right or wrong to get ahead. Zero ethics is ok as long as I can put money in the bank. Did i mention greed? lots of greed.

You must be a Democrat.

YOU are missing the big picture…

And I am only referring with the first paragraph of eelect’s post… I don’t think AoA is doing it to destroy WWAG, I think they are doing it because it will make them more money. Call it greed if you want, but it’s more like business really.

Hi Guys,

I see it like this…

The P12 was meant to beef the Cricket but KalibrGun with a clever “defense” move just beefed the P12 (before birth) and the Matador.

Who is going to buy a P12 or Matador with this Cricket pricing?

Wanted a “Super Tuned P12” with all the extras (Match grade barrel, regulator, etc, etc)?

Well you have it, it’s called Cricket, it’s better and it is cheaper! 😀

ATB

I don’t think this pricing move was to compete with the P12. I think Kalibr realized that their new (a few years old now) machinery streamlined everything and the volume of purchases was so high they could drop their prices.

The P12 as shipped is a total piece of shit. Only after being extensively modified did it shoot well and in one case a $200 barrel was put on it…

The P12 is nothing but speculation… And if a batch has shipped there is no way any of the new and improved parts are on them. It will be essentially a totally useless hunk of metal and wood for the money spent.

I would imagine after the Colibri comes out we might see the original Cricket either change or go away. This move is from internal forces within Kalibr. 😉

The thread he started on the Yellow where he accused AOA clearly without naming them of breaking the law is one giant piss and moan.

But what he said is true… 😀

Check the prices of FX rifles in europe… 😯 😯 😯 😯

He wasn’t referring to FX guns he was refering to the Cricket sale by AOA. I tell you what, before this all went down I had a higher opinion of WWAG than AOA but not anymore. Dropping an inferred stink bomb and then disappearing while your surrogates rip on a competitor is a bitch move where I come from. Very disappointing.

 for DMans post

Depends if AOA got some at the new price and WWAG is trying to compete while paying the old price… 😉

Apparently the AOA shipment is arriving after the WWAG shipment so if AOA got a better deal good for them for sharing it with customers. If Steve payed more, which doesn’t make sense, his bitch is with Kalibr not AOA.

I didn’t say his bitch is with AOA… Said it would be underhanded of Kalibr… 😉

He made it very plain who he was talking about and then sat back as his surrogates trashed AOA by name

only one way out :4:
