Zero communications to your customers is never good. Steve should have messaged his customers today.

The plot thickens, the “ball” is most definitely in wwag’s “court” right about now 😮 😮 😮

well looks like that may call BS to my prior post at them being wholesale prices…. Looks like theres more to go

This is gonna get interesting….

The price drop ship has sailed now. They have dropped even the Skeleton walnut guns as well.

Has anyone had any kind of an update from WWAG other than the original template response early yesterday? Are they still taking other kinds of orders? Anyone speak to them directly today?

Not me, ?? thinking about calling Steve but I feel like crap, terrible cold !!, I’m checking out and trying to go to bed…. UGGG

Hi Guys,

I see it like this…

The P12 was meant to beef the Cricket but KalibrGun with a clever “defense” move just beefed the P12 (before birth) and the Matador.

Who is going to buy a P12 or Matador with this Cricket pricing?

Wanted a “Super Tuned P12” with all the extras (Match grade barrel, regulator, etc, etc)?

Well you have it, it’s called Cricket, it’s better and it is cheaper! 😀

I agree as well. I always root for the underdog in sports and that’s because there is no cost to me. However, I do not have the cash like some of the guys and say I am going to throw $300 extra because I like the guy. With that $300 I could buy the FFP scope I’ve been eye balling or new Neil Clague shroud and LDC for the new gun. What I am saying is not all pockets are equally deep. If I had the money I would support the little momma and poppa store all day long. Heck there’s a gas station less than a 1/4 mile away from my house but I drive a few extra miles to save .2 cents per gallon 😯 Until I did the math and it came out to less than a dollar for the extra trip lol.

There is a lot of chatter going on about this topic and a lot of good points being made out there about loyalty, looking out for the little guy, being a man of my word, etc….. All of those are good traits, but at the end of the day who is going to look out for you? I bought my Cricket from AOA at factory price two weeks ago. Now I contacted Steve via email after hearing such great things about him and WWAG, I also contacted AOA the same day seeing whom had what I wanted in stock. AOA contacted me back 3 times within two hours, WWAG took 2 days. So I bought my gun from AOA. Then the sale hit, thought to myself I will ask for the discount because a lot of big time business will give you the difference if you buy something then it goes on sale within 14 days (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc), and if AOA is as bad as I’ve heard in some forums I will return it and give Steve another shot. I also email WWAG if they where going to lower prices / price match, (cause of his GREAT reviews). Still AOA emailed me back in 10 minutes offing an in-store credit and 24 hours later still haven’t heard from WWAG. So I will continue to look out for me and what is in my best interest. Because retailers will continue to do the same big or small (some will just have better customer servicer an others. I have read hundreds of stories hear about bull pup and what people believe they should cost, then prices are announced and people get all bent out of shapes so who is right? Is the price fair? Too high? (No one until today ever complained about too low). Who knows at the end of the day if you want it, and can afford it you will pay to play or you will not. But I think it is hypercritical and foolish to say one would voluntarily pay more money for a product (significantly), if that person could get the same product at a lower cost in the name of small business, loyalty, etc. Just my thoughts and not trying to offend, just vent. :1:

heres how i see it

AOA will keep the guns on a special and starve out the competition very few if any will pay the extra 300. Its a dog eat dog world. I believe there are at least 2 or 3 dealers that don’t get there guns from AOA.

Now heres the big thing how long is a one to sit on a large cache of air guns without sales? Not saying i support this by no means i don’t like it at all. but at some point the dealers have to unload.

But is the general consensus that one is getting them at a better deal cause they are the importer? If thats the case.. then the price they are at is probably pretty close to what the distributor are getting them for.

If thats the case a dealer with a 100 or so guns sitting on the shelf is sitting on 130-150k$ worth of guns.

just like them passing them onto a distributor AOA looses nothing. just another day at the office for them. Cause we all know who sells more crickets then anyone else.

Its not good for any of the dealers

seems they are at the bottom for a regular dealer. but AOA being the importer can probably drop the price more with out any financial loss. and i wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.

Then what? AOA can hang all day at these prices being an importer. just means more wholesale than retail for them

I think that WWAG runs a great business and he’s got my business.

just wanted to see if any others were doing anything

Topgun?

I think its gonna get rough,

and seeing that AOA is taking deposits. I don’t think there is anything that can be done to stop the inedible,

maybe steves importer will fire back and lowball AOA prices … importers should be getting the same prices .

with the Hummingbird on the way AOA has been quiet…. steve already set his price and took a list. won’t take much for AOA do it with that too……..

Then what Game over.. AOA will have control then

I had not seen the skeleton ones offered at discount either….

I have mentioned it a couple of times without response but I don’t think AOA has Skeleton stock guns at this price ??? Does anyone know different ?? When you read the original post they specifically say the Std. Walnut stock with 4 magnetic mag. holders so ???

If this is the case there was no deal on the guns I had ordered anyway …. 😥

Fascinating to watch Steve of Ct react, keeping his cool, since he’s caught between AOA and small dealers—WildWest.
And caught between wanting the conversation to stop by numerous long-standing, even free-market, pro-business members
against the price-cutting move; and his need to minimize the conversation against a paying customer. He’s doing it very carefully.
He’s just declared on another AOA price-cutting post that popped up, and that he promptly locked, that “The forum needs to refocus.”
In other words, “Watch yourselves kiddies.”

Members have heeded his subtle command. Somebody immediately followed with a post about an Andy Griffith moment,
with airgun instead of a fishing pole, of course. I read it, with the show’s opening whistling tune playing in my head–Waarrrm’d my haarrt.
I’d forgotten about the Andy Griffith-ers on the Yellow (lot’s of nostalgics over there). Now, maybe somebody with a Walton Family airgun
story to get back to peace and tranquility (Goodnight, Jonboy!). Steve would welcome more posts like that right now;
for that matter, a post about the good ‘ole days when everybody on the Yellow hadn’t forgotten that he… Father Knows Best.
