Q:

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger on the broken Stock!

🙁 I recieved my R3 22 standard last Thursday. And the same thing happened to me. I didn’t want to post anything about it yet because I didn’t want to piss anyone off. I talked with Tony about it last week. He said it was my baby. So, I filed the claim with UPS. They wanted to p.u. my rifle for inspection too. I said Hell No! They already screwed it up once I’m not giving them another shot at it. So, they agreed to do an over-the-line inspection. It is in the process as we speak. I can’t stand UPS, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me on air rifles. If I were to order another Edgun I would make sure it had insurance on it as well.
On one good note, I shot it this weekend and it is a Damn Tack Driver! I will post some groups at a later date. My wife shot a clay pigeon at 65 yds free handed standing. At least it’s accurate

I’m in a similar situation. I placed a order for a .25 long (last September) and received a standard .22 I was upset but ended up getting back on the list and the wait continues for me.

Wait….What???? You ordered a .25 and received a .22??? That’s acceptable?
OR where you offered the .22 as a substitute for the .25 with the option to decline?

No, I placed an order for the .25. Doesn’t make any sense having 2 .22 Edguns. But once again I’m not complaining, it is what it is… Back on the list and the wait continues. Who knows, I might never get a R3 .25 🙁

Somewhat on topic, I just finished packing my .22 R2 for shipment. The entire package is in layered styrofoam with form fitting cutouts at each level. Each level that contains a component is separated by a full sheet of foam plus full sheets at the top and bottom of the box.

I figured Tony / Ed and anyone else shipping their Edguns might want to have a look at this. For Tony, it probably wouldn’t be too expensive to have a packaging supply company pre-cut and send the foam layers to you– then all that is needed is to put each piece in the foam, bundle it with tape to hold all the layers together, then put it in a box and ship it.

After cutting the height of the box down to fit the foam “stack” the dimensions are 38 x 17 x 12 and the weight is 18.5 lbs; not much larger or heavier than the box my R3 was shipped in but it’s packed much more securely.

Hey I will gladly take .22 R3 off your hands if you are complaining =)

I would only be excited if this kind of mishap happened to me 😆

Please don’t shoot! I come in peace…

So what’s all the bickering about?

I’d be furious as hell if I received a broken stock on a 1 year, 6 month, 2 week wait

See your warranty ran out 6 months 2 weeks ago…..

I’d be furious as hell if I received a broken stock on a 1 year, 6 month, 2 week wait as well but let’s face it folks, shit happens! We don’t live in a prefect world. I’ve always wanted to say that. 😛 Ok seriously though I’d be very angry but a full refund was offered and you can’t completely blame the Edgun folks. Ed has mentioned in the other thread that it’s tough enough to get his guns in the US and make a decent profit not to mention the $300 price increase. I’m not taking sides here so put down your guns!

I’m sure all this will be resolved.

That is FUCKING classic…! 🙄

Besides the broken stock, right? 🙄 🙄

I thought once it was in the mail it would then be EdGuns responsibility…? Those are the rules THEY follow, right? 🙄 🙄 🙄

Where is that Trek double face palm image when you need it…

In Russia, new car comes with broken windshield. 😕

That is fucking bull shit!!!!!!

I have lost all respect for the edgun and the company.

You both have no honer and that is a very sad thing in deed

I think there is an offer to get it repaired at NO CHARGE.

I want everyone to know, that on May 25th AND ONLY May 25th I was offered a full refund on my rifle if it was shipped back in pristine condition.

Well, I opt to keep it and not get the refund. I waited 7 months to get it and ah-be-damn if I’m going to return it. I still like it. I just wish it didn’t have a cracked stock. I will get it repaired at MY COSTS. I guess they win.

I wish none of this would’ve happened. Like Tony said, wish everyone could just pick them up.

I will post some pic. after I get it repaired and shoot some prey with it.

I want to Thank everyone on this Forum that stood behind me and understood my situation.

Yeah, lots of action here and great testimonials on an obviously great gun. Only a couple guns with actual issues to fix (brass o-rings to thick) but even those shoot awesom with a little filing/sanding of the one part.

Of course, it’s real easy to get a good rep with folks that got the gun in one piece, have no problems and are getting great results. How you treat the guy who lost the shipping lottery says the most…

I just set here wondering how many Edguns have been sold because of this forum and all the positive things said up till now.

Gotta love this. Sounds like, or maybe it is, Celebrity Rehab!

I just skimed through the locked post about the p/m… no I did’t read it all as I’m way too beat right mnoe and I have to get up at 4:30 in the morn… but her is my take on it all as well as this thread:

EdGun Tony IS RESPONSIBLE period and needs to replace the stock!!!

I think it is Very Fucked of him to say “return your gun for a refund”… that is not what the customers want, they would not of been on a waiting list and payed what they did if that was the cace. the stock should be replaced without question and the company(ed gun) is responsible for pushing ups to get their money back as the customer had nothing at all to do with this problem happing!

Ed and edgun tony.. have you ever heard the expression that one bad review over powers ten good reviews???

.. well it’s a true one, and weather someone posts a bad review publicly as on this or any other forum, or they do it privately by talking with their buddies at the range it will be said and the word will get out if someone has a bad . you two have the power to turn these bad reviews around by dipping into your greedy little pockets with next to no expense in the scheme of your gun sales and make it right… so why don’t you???? the only thing I can come up with is pure greed, and that my friends is not only very fucked up but Very Bad business!!! and trust me when I tell you both that it will bite you in the ass 😉

Sorry WoK for bringing this back up when the other thread was locked, but I wasn’t around to comment and I’ll be Damed if I’ll sit in silence when a brother TAG member is getting screwed over let alone more than one!
