Q:

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger on the broken Stock!

🙁 I recieved my R3 22 standard last Thursday. And the same thing happened to me. I didn’t want to post anything about it yet because I didn’t want to piss anyone off. I talked with Tony about it last week. He said it was my baby. So, I filed the claim with UPS. They wanted to p.u. my rifle for inspection too. I said Hell No! They already screwed it up once I’m not giving them another shot at it. So, they agreed to do an over-the-line inspection. It is in the process as we speak. I can’t stand UPS, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me on air rifles. If I were to order another Edgun I would make sure it had insurance on it as well.
On one good note, I shot it this weekend and it is a Damn Tack Driver! I will post some groups at a later date. My wife shot a clay pigeon at 65 yds free handed standing. At least it’s accurate

You guys really made a believer in me, Tony and Ed are the good guys in this issue. I have Tony Gun and it is outstanding,

Different Tonys Shaggman… 😆

Tony (toshik) & Ed (Ed) are EdGun, the gun you think is overrated and over priced…

Tony (anthony266) aka Talon Tunes is the tuner of the rifle AirForce you love so much.

I can understand the confusion though. 😉

Note Jerry’s post above, the whole return for a full refund appears to never have been offered to the three people who received broken stocks, Ed’s post in the locked sticky was the first time it has been mentioned…

Hmmm, I recon I am confused then. I thought Tony was one and the same. I remember emailing Tony one time at the address I have for him and asked about an Ed Gun, and he said he had one left it was the long one, about a year ago. So if Tony is not the Tallon hot rodder then the one I emailed is the one I bought a barrel and shroud off of. Now I am Confused,,Could I be loosing it? 🙄

They offered a replacement stock, with a long wait time?

Actually, all I saw was an offer to sell a replacement stock. The offer of a refund seems to have come a bit late too as it was a surprise to some.

I’m going to post one time here because it is really none of my buissness 😀
They offered a full refund, Take it or leave it. No one can be any more fair than that. They offered a replacement stock, with a long wait time? I’ll take option #1.
However since I have never had an Ed Gun in my hands I’m glad I haven’t for they seem to be Habit forming, I’ll stick to my Perfectly packaged and shipped marauds and Airforce guns and my Delicious Corseair for which was shiped action and stock seperated and came to me shooting to this day.
Ed and Tony ‘both’ was under stress IMHO to get your guns to you, cause this forum was full of , is it comming/when?How much? too high? bitching and bickering….Me included in some of the threads here about price,,, but no one wants to send them back, so Ed seems to be doing somthing right, cause you all hate him for improper shipping yet you want to keep them even if you have to have a broken stock. Wishy washy wishy washy, I personally think that they tried to please you guys, but pating with you Ed Gun is out of the question even if it has been broken, so what’s the answer?
It isnt Tony and Ed, fo I’d gladly buy the gun myself providing he made me the same offer, and providing I had the money, but as of now I don’t I just bought some more powder burners 😀 But a garentee not on paper ‘yet’ given after the sale seems like a good guy to deal with if you ask me. 😀
You guys really made a believer in me, Tony and Ed are the good guys in this issue. I have Tony Gun and it is outstanding, never have had to do anything but keep it cleaned and in a good storage invironment. Ehhhh More or less,,,,,That’s my input and I’m sticking to it 😀 😀 I’m shaggy and I approve this message ➡

I have almost nothing to add except it seems that defending a middleman’s poor response to paid customers complaints has been a disservice.

When I recently received a defective $80 item the supplier express shipped a replacement and only asked me to have the defective item available for pickup. In 3 days I had a perfect product and the defective one was taken away. That is the kind of service that makes it great to do business in U.S.A.

It seems obvious to me that the middleman in this topic won’t be around a year from now. I will NOT do business with him and would not expect any other retiree with money to spend to pay for NEW merchandise and then be expected to pay even one damn penny more to MAKE IT LOOK NEW.

IMO, refusing to drop the issue and lashing out at others with unrelated insults and spreading quilt, has sealed the fate of this, to often mentioned, inexperienced middleman.

I would not have read this topic had it not gotten so long. I hope to eventually buy an Edgun but it won’t happen through this dealer.

I’m just kinda curious….

Something Jerry said, and another over in the locked thread.

Does anyone know if Tony boxed these himself personally, or just took the guns in there nylon cases into the shipping center, and paid them to box them up..

Just curious

nope I post and you dance for me sweetums! 😆 😆 😆

one upping?
I admit I have harrassed you about your LD love but thats really about it
at the time of that XP debate nobody had one even in their hands, it was an unknown quantity good or bad…I am damn pleased it turned out so far to be an Excellent product but the web is full of Fan Bois who have never touched what they are raving positive about.

most currently it’s the Evenix MAX…mine should be here in a day or two and will be giving it a serious burn in next to my .25 R3 long
Yep, I don’t hide the facts about how awful my 1st Marauder was just as I didn’t hide how poorly executed the trigger was on my eary JH .452…I will be brutal on the MAX if it is crap
just how is that one upping?

like I stated it’s pretty OCD to feel the need to google someones posts just because you don’t agree with the content WOK 😉

Jerry…it’s a question of who shit on who first
WOK couldn’t argue the content so he OCD’d on stupid crap in a vain attempt to change subject and shout me down with it 😉
Appearence of dishonesty…that’s a serious stretch

anyways on the stocks you finally hit on my point
the guns are all spoken for and Tony has only minimal spares, things like valve rods
further you NEVER quit hounding UPS after the give you that initial deny on your claim…in the past it has taken me several months to resolve matters with the Brown
you have to be persistant
and lets consider the value of the damage
is it over $100.00?
I don’t think so, I’ll bet Doug would charge well under that to effect one of his invisible repairs, Syn has offered to do it for FREE
There is a basic hundred bucks of insurance that goes on every parcel shipped through UPS
so where is this financial burden?
it’s simply lost time jacking with UPS claims and shipping the damaged stock out for repair if you are unwilling to return your rifle for refund.
yes sucks big time but it is what it is 😉

RS,

I don’t think you’re dishonest but your post created the appearance of dishonesty. That’s why there are simple rules for attribution that you should have followed.

but anyways back to the OPs topic
since there are no replacement stocks on this side of the pond are those with the damaged stocks going to return their rifles for refund or order a spare stock?
or even take Syn up on his generous offer to repair them for free?
the silence has been deafening hasn’t it…

I don’t think Tony’s lack of spare parts should create a financial burden on those who got broken guns. A more appropriate remedy would be a return and exchange but I suppose every gun and part in the shipment has been accounted for.

RC,

Of course you could tell it was cut and paste and so could I and Wok and anyone else who reads RS’s posts. But, he still should have made it clear for all. I’m not recommending jail time, just pointing out that there are simple rules and shitting on the guy that caught you does not prove innocence.

Jerry Jerry Jerry 🙄 🙄 🙄
I am not the one doing the attacking here
or do you not understand the difference between an attack and a defense 😆 😆

so now you are accusing me of being dishonest? 😆 😆 😆
that’s truly rich!

Jerry,

I have to say I do admire and respect you, but….

A one eyed chinaman with half an ass hole would have realized that was all cut and pasted and no attempt was made by RS to hide it or have it assumed otherwise. 💡

I myself altho caucasian, do only have one eye, that functions, and several concussions that preclude me from being a rocket scientist, albiet a rather well set non rocket scientist and even I realized it.
