Q:

EDgun Matador, caliber .30, second generation.

Dear friends,

Some of you has problems with the valves on these guns. I have to confess that is my fault. The point is that I made heavier hammer in order to get more power, but left the valve rod the same diameter, 2 mm. So, when the hammer impact the valve, its inertion doesn’t allow the valve to move properly “forward and back” and the rod has too strong force and due to that force can curve.

Once again, that is my fault as the designer and engeneer of this gun. Sorry for that. I’ve ordered new 3 mm. hardened, polished rods (to tell you truth that is a kind of quest to find them, there is no one in Russia, I’ve ordered them from EU and they promissed me to deliver them in February). As soon as I have them I will make new valves and the valve guide to change in the back plug. I think that is quite easy operation which can be done by owner himself. Besides I will make a vid for that.

Sorry for that disadvantage, as you say “He is lifeless that is faultless.”

I will do my best to solve it as soon as possible.

With the best regards

Ed

Cmon Ed! Say something, at least an update about the parts you or someone else was working on, its so sad : to see a beautiful gun collecting dust. squirrels are about to pop up!!! :banghead: I’m gonna be forced to buy another .30cal,

Ed the people are speaking to you, the people that keep roof over your head and will buy anything you make. Why are you leaving us hanging in the the wind? Now would be the opportune moment to say something and redeem yourself.

:angrymob:

James I was on the fence for buying a used .30 the new addition. The guy I bought my .20 Leyla from was an eight time Edgun owner and seemed to have a large stable of EDguns but he dumped all his new EDguns the .20 Leyla and his .30 Matador within a month of taking possession of them. This is a tell tale sign. Soze’s gun was the hammer at the time and he was telling me I am nutz for not buying Marks .30 Caliber Matador at $1550.00 shipped to my door. I started think Soze was right which is almost never. Truth be told Soze grilled me the entire way home about getting the gun. Of course I gave him a hard time. Nothing is better then breaking the ball breakers nutz. And I know he was grilling me because at that time his gun was a hammer and he was not having any issues outside of finding enough ground squirrels to splatter. So when I walked in the door I sent Mark an email about buying the gun and within the hour he shot an email back SOLD. Holly Chicken Chokers could you imagine me with a broken EDgun it would be ED’s worst Nightmare which Soze is now becoming with that LUNITIC AGH.

Eduard been on here the whole time
he’s just a intimidated to reply now пидарас
It’s a good thing we have an American machinist working on the problem we can’t wait for u Russian schedule no wonder your country’s all fucked up were useing

Ed seems more than willing to bullshit about reservoir tubes and filling theories but this thread just gets left alone.

Yeh i Noticed that…. He’s got time to chew the fat about airtubes…. He can’t even come onto this thread give a simple update. Or bore us with some #’s on strength of stem materials…

not good ed… :butkick:

I am so glad i didn’t buy a .30 edgun

This is Eds US forum this is the place where his guns are sold. Wow. That is all I can say WOW

I agree with AGW’s analysis of American culture. Ignoring PMs, post, emails, not giving updates and taking forever; we perceive that behavior as a big fuck you. To say I am disappointed from how the importer and Ed have handled this problem is an understatement. This episode after the gun broke has also left a bad feeling with me that is not going to go away. Ed seems more than willing to bullshit about reservoir tubes and filling theories but this thread just gets left alone. I have purchased 10K worth of EDguns in the last few years, if EDgun will ignore my PMs he’ll ignore yours too. A new day is coming in the PCP world. Soon we will have more bullpups to choose from, let this be a word of caution to dealers and makers.

I feel like an ass defending Ed from Pippo and Ville’s bashing. Turns out they must have traveled this road before me.

I think u knew about the problem before u even sent the guns Ed
I think u intentionally screwed us fucked us there is no way u could not have known the valve would break
Now u think anyone will trust a new gun by Edgun fuck no!!!! u had two attempts at getting the .30 Correct serious design flaws u put out crap to sell get the $ then say sorry
There are other Airgun manufactures now Ed they have good comunication and support u don’t even tell tony shit
He don’t fucken know anything and he’s the dealer here for the US  other people like Donny or ks have to chime in to answer questions on this board that u guys should be answering u guys just care about making the $ and nothing else! I can call tony right now and ask him the size of a scew or an oring size and I guarantee he won’t know off the top of his head he will have to Check it’s not because he’s stupid well that’s questionable but plain and simple Edgun had no dealer here that cares he sell u faulty guns all day but look at hemm not only can he not fix it
charged him to ships the broken gun back at his expense
WoW fucken wow
I learned my lesson and so did. Many!!!!!!!! This is international site the world is watching u drop the ball I won’t buy another Edgun I won’t recommend Edgun I will speak the truth about how if anything goes wrong u are on your own or waiting for months and months left in the dark

I hear that from over there Russian culture and ours vary greatly
So let me educate u as I was educated freely by a friend of mine who is Russian
In Ed ‘s culture (I hear) it’s ok and even “normal “not to reply until u have good news to reply with our pace and life style two differrant speeds

Over here in the
UNITED STATES of AMERICA
It is not ok to ignore people ignore loyal customers and Edgun enthusiast ignore friends ignore the problem ignore any person or fellow human being as if your just better then them
worst thing u can do is let people think u forgot about them
Over here no response translates to us as
FUCK YOU!! And is very rude at best I c that u r online on here on tag right now but choose not to reply
U could say
Hey guys still waiting on the 3mm rod or anything even type fuck u would be better than nothing put your self in the other person shoes Ed
What if I sold u a gun and it broke completely in less than 3 months!! and I put out the next model before I fix your gun or warranty yours giving u not only a broken gun a last years model broken gun so the value is completely crushed I have Owned every single Edgun u can I’ve shown my friends and they have bought Edgun most of your business is return customers or word of mouth the words won’t be good any more

Yeah me too! Most of the times i fix my guns myself but this is something else, this requires a lot of presicion and I don’t even have the right tools for it.

Dan
I agree with Dan on this one would be nice to just replace parts not have to go buy drill bits and tools
Also may require new spring so a kit may be the best way to fix it and it still be a “Edgun” not a whore gun any updates can u share with us Ed keep us updated its easy to become impatient when days go by we can’t shoot our .30 :3:
I’m in complete agreement that it needs to be a kit, I for one am not comfortable putting tools and drills to something I paid $2000 for.
