Those who believes that if it written I. The scope box 10x is reall 10x, are quite optimistic 🙂 the real magnification changes even when one adjust diopters, you can easily check it. The only things which has impotrtance if the reticle meets the MOA or MIL, no maters what magnification is.
How dumb would that be ?? A fixed scope calibrated at a different mag makes no sense whatsoever.
It’s very rasy to check though – with a ruler placed at a distance.

I’m pretty sure it’s fixed 12x calibrated @ 10x. At least that’s what sterlok pro says….

Yeah, having a fixed 12x scope with a reticle calibrated for 10 would be even more stupid that scopes that are mil/moa. Doesn’t make sense.
In set mag scopes it’s always the set mag the scope is calibrated at 🙂 🙂

Magnification is fixed at 12x. But I am not sure about reticle calibration, is it 10x or 12x?
Or just leave it at SFP and put the min, max and ranging mag at 10x – or whatever the mag it is 😉

Put the reticle in, then tick the “this is a FFP scope”
Being fixed it has the same virtue as the FFP scopes of Always being true no matter the magnification, because there’s only One 😉

Oh really ? Tell that to some better/marquee scope manufacturers and they’ll suggest you get your head examined 😉
Every scope worth the name ( not talking about Chinese crap here ) has its “set” or “true” calibration which is used for ie “milling” or range finding. Don’t learn your Papa on how to make babies, Ed. 😉
It’s a good idea to check that on any scope though. Easy job with a ruler on a set range. I agree though that the lesser scopes can seldom be trusted , based on the makers claim on what mag a scope reticle is true but one should be able to count on that a ie 10x fixed scope with a mil reticle is true at its set 10x.
But then again most Chinese scopes aren’t really trustworthy. And eventhough your scope has a good glass for a Chinese made one a scope is judged by the sum of its parts and its function. That means , among other things , that the adjustements are repeatable every time and that the reticle subtentions can be trusted.
A good glass alone is like having a good rifle with shitty ammo.
