Ville, off-topic the Sako is one of the best values in a long range system. My TRG out shot my friend’s Accuracy International :8: The only thing that irritates me is the cost of magazines :angrymob:

308 in Russia ain’t the same as .308 in Genarp. Talk is cheap – let us test!
I’m open for that. Will test one on everything from .223 to .338 Lapua Magnum. And give an unbiased opinion afterwards.
Ok – the scope isn’t designed for magnum centerfire guns but it would be fun to see how far it can go.
Much like Uncle Hoot who isn’t afraid to go all the way …

Ed replied to an earlier post of mine and told about his scopes being used on 308 in Russia without any problems.

You know your firearms i see 😉
I only have/own Finnish Quality : Sako and Tikka 🙂
Well – one Anschütz too but don’t tell my Father or i’ll not inherit his firearms collection 😉

I’ll put one on my Sako; I’ll let you know how it holds up. I am impressed with the scope. I love the clarity of the glass. The 34 mm tube adds to the edge to edge light transmission of the glass.

I agree. A good scope for airgunning and at a fair price too.
I don’t think Ed is upto that challenge though 😉

Told my friend about my plans regarding his scope vs 300WM but he just gave me a weird gaze and went home 🙂

quote Sir Ville:

It’s the first EG product that i can approve.
If my friend lets me then i’ll test it on a 300 WM centerfire. We’ll see if the lenses stay put or not 🙂
He may not be willing to hand out his new scope for such test though 😉

Thanks Ville for your valuable review…of course your words are considered as you are not a fan og Edgun products as you said…

Ville…i also hope Ed read this post and send you one scope to test on your 300 or 308 .. im sure it will be a great real field test for EdScopes … Hope Ed do this challenge…..

As you said they are very good choice and enough for airguns …that is why i didn’t want to buy expensive scopes …

Thanks again

Thanks Ville!

And congratulations to Ed!

I’ve now officially seen and tested the EG gen 2 scope and , while not the biggest Ed fan i have to admit the scope is allright. Actually a bit better than “allright”.
Ed made a wise choice by going for set zoom. A variable one always lacks in comparison – even with marquee brands from ie Europe ( and as we all know the best optics are made over here ) and Japan if not made with absolute precision/quality/ tolerances and that stuff costs many money.
The reticle is well thought out for airgunning and the turrets/clicks feel semi-distinct. And by “semi” i mean better than 85% of other Chinese scopes.
Summa summarum : A good scope for airgunning.

Fudd, it is slightly over 13in. Not sure about weight but its not bad. 12x is plenty for me out to 100 or so. I don’t go much past that but typically 25-75yds in my neck of the woods.

Rgds,

DT

Just got this in from Edgun West (thanks KS) and mounted onto my Gen 1 .30.

How much does this scope weigh? It looks to be around 13″ long right? How’s 12x treating you for the distances you shoot?

Things never happen fast in the land of EdGun. Ever !
Some things may take forever.

Looking too good DanT55. Still waiting for Brian’s review.

Which I guess is never gonna happen
