Gun Expo Tradgedy, Accidental Death.
Father takes 8 year old son/s to a Machine gun Expo/Fun Shoot. Father let’s 8 year old son, Shoot a fully Automatic Uzi Sub machine gun. The boy shoots at a pumpkin and looses control of the Uzi and shoots himself in the head. The Uzi flips up all the way over to shoot backwards.
Now the local sheriff and the 2 Expo sponsors are being charged with manslaughter. No negligence charge against the Father. Who’s at fault here, would you let your 8 year old son shoot a full Auto handgun? Most adults can’t control a Full Automatic handgun! This is a tragedy, and shooter lacked proper training. Who’s responsible for a minor, and or his/her personal safety/gun safety? Wonder if they posted “Enter at Your Own Risk”?
Being a minor and not being responsible for his actions, why shouldn’t it fall to the parents/guardian? I think the shooter should be responsible, but being a minor, what do you think?

Most people don’t LIKE the LEO’s TO be around, They interfere with their driving, drinking and smoking, or poaching (I can do anything I want to as long as I don’t get caught, I’m not breaking the LAW – attitudes) But
When I’m in dire straights, the same casual LAW BREAKER’S are the one’s expecting the LEO’s to come Rescue/Save their sorry asses.
It’s a catch 21, dammed if you do or dammed if you don’t. Yeah, there’s a few bad apples and they usually do get weeded out. I for one Respect ’em for doing their duty as best as they can. They’re real people just like the rest of us, but some of ’em have that same type of attitude problem you do!

I have intense “respect” for certain things
for example our Nations founding documents and indeed much of the law that flowed from them up to the Wilson era
past that I see a sea of special interests and corruptions
There are many laws I have absolutely no respect for but I do fear the cosequences if I dare violate them.

I have to think an officer of the law or the country demands a little more respect than just anyone else at face value. It’s respect of the law and of country, not the really person who is dressed in uniform I guess…
As a society in general we tend to focus on the bad things over the good ones. LEO’s can’t be all that bad if I have been pulled over so many times and not ticketed and i’ve been pulled over by some of the notoriously hardcore ticket writers too…
I for one am very happy to have LEOs around and doing what they do. One chipmunk looking dude isn’t going to ruin the lot for me!

I cannot begin to explain the stresses of police work .
Any man willing to strap on a weapon in the middle of night and go look for trouble knowing somewhere out there is a criminal who is armed and may try to take his life from him EARNED a little fucking respect, at least from people with a little common sense.
Ive done it first hand , Ive went out into the desert in the middle of the night where back up was 45 minutes away , knowing out there were Cartel narcotic smugglers armed to the fucking teeth desperate criminals on the run from other country’s, murderers ,bank robbers kidnappers , bandits people smugglers spys, yes We caught spys! gang bangers ,bikers ex cons Mexican military crossing in force , Mexican recon troops on loan to the cartels assisting smugglers. there were full blown fire fights that you will never hear about on CNN. Border patrol pinned down in the canyons by Mexican military . people taking pot shots at BP from the other side of the border . there are vast areas where the border is just an imaginary line cross it and you could be held my Mexico or worse depends on you catches you. Make a mistake and you could cause an international incident . We had $10,000 bounties on our heads , and people who were trying to collect it . We were issued fully automatic M4’s, MP5’s model 870 shotguns for good reason .
so when you get a call for 15 hits on the 220 sensor thats all you knew , you didnt know what the hell your facing until your in close quarter’s .
half the town I worked in were in someway involved in or related to smugglers /smuggling, they spit in my food , they stared at me like I was the enemy .
Anybody that does that type of work for a paycheck earns, not demands some respect from thier friends family neighbors peers and decent people which I did.
I cant speak for deputy Barney Fife in smalltown Oklahoma who pulls the farm kid over for doing 57 in a 55 because no one has broken the law in there in 2 years. thats not what I did.
I understand the dangers a lot of law enforcement goes through , it isnt a fucking television show , and I respect them for it Im no longer an agent and Im not asking for any personal respect from anyone .
