Q:

HOW OLD ARE WE???

Hey Guys 😀

I was just sittin here drinking a beer twidling with me belly button (as you do ), thinking about how much of a ‘fringe’ hobby this is. Then i started thinking about how young i was when i first started playing with air rifles. It was the early eighties, i was about 11 or so when i first started playing in the woods with them.

I’m 37 now. I’ve got an air rifle. i go to the woods and play with it.
In 20 years, you’ll find me somewhere, playing with me air rifle.

Roll Call.

Ages please. It can’t be just me whos getting older but still playing… 😕

I’m 24. My dad always had a co2 air pistol I’d play with once in a while, but I got my first serious air pistols and rifles about 4 years ago. Just got into PCP’s about 4 months ago 🙂

Got started with a little daisy BB gun around 6 yrs old. As time went by, got more into powder burners. Just in the past year and half discovered PCP’s and now I’m a 48 year old airgun freak…. 😆 😆

55 here

can’t remember the name, it was a pump up shotgun type, that I used to stick into the semi dry mud, pump waaaay up, and then shoot my sister with the mud ball 😀 life was good

I just happen to be 58 years. I’d tell you when I first got into airguns, but I can not remember what day it is, let alone 50 years ago. 😀

its nice to know everyones backstory and age here

im 27 years old and everyone says I was born with a gun in my hand. 😈

I think my first air gun was a marksman 1010 pistol bought at a flea market.

Anyone else have one of these precision killing machines as a kid? 😆 😆

17503 days old.

Greetings y’all,

53 YO. Grew up in the boonies and started shooting @ 9 or 10. My father was into rifle competition from the early forties on. We had 25 acres in the hills with a 50 to 300 yd range off the patio.

Got my first air gun @ 17 (S&W 79G) to play with in the dorms and later to practice for handgun competitions during the 70’s. Later a springer and now an eclectic collection from antique PCP replicas to CO2 guns.

Hi

I am about 50 mentally, but in reality 25 ❗ been into air rifles for about 4-6 years now, but dont hardly get time to shoot as often as i would like, but hey thats life 🙁

Hey shooter58… if they can sneak booze into my old Auntie’s nursing home, I bet we could come up with a good plan. Going to have to come up with a darn good silent pellet trap though..

I’ll be 64 next month, been playing with airguns since I was 5 or 6…. don’t remember that far back, ya know. I’ve got guns older than most of you… this is a hobby that doesn’t get old, as long as you don’t. I was out yesterday bustin’ yellow jackets with my Drozd in the back yard. I’m already figgerin’ how I can sneak one or two into the nursing home when the time comes, heh heh

quote dadwilson:

Lets see now .. for me it’s 5 and 59…

Man I do feel old now that I think that it was 1954 when I got by first airgun..it seems decades ago .. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

I’m 45 going on 46. Got into airguns in 1984 I think.

49 going on 16. Had a bb/pellet pistol and occassionally a bb gun when I was in grade school. I went a long time with no gun at all, then we had a rabbit problem. After a few weeks with a Talon SS, no more rabbit problem, just a problem finding something to shoot at. 🙂

Hi Pablo,
Started when i was 11-12 in 1980-81 with a .177 diana rifle and a .22 Milbro.Dad took them off me cos i shot everything that moved,as well as ruined the backyard fence etc.Bought a new Webley Vulcan at 16 then got into the shotguns and powder burning pistols and rifles.Had to give them up when i married a bunny hugger in 1990.Was given the ultimatum and i made the wrong choice 🙁 .I will never forgive my dick for that.
Got back into them 3 years ago when i managed to get back on my feet after the divorce 😀
Never gonna part with my true passion again. Not even if i was hooked up with Jessica Alba(invisible girl in Fantastic 4)and she demanded it.
I’m 40 now and not a beer or woman can satisfy me more than a good hunt.

54 going on 20. I shot BB guns and pellet guns as a kid. Last year I bought a Gamo CFX and had it tuned. Then I found talonairgun.com. I now have a Talon Tunes 25 with a moded Talon valve and Tony shroud. It makes the CFX seem loud!
