Q:

Just ordered a Short one

From Tony, it should arrive in 2 weeks or so after he test shoots it.

I can’t wait, in the mean time what to crown the little one with, a Bug buster ?

very nice results

as for barrel choke will lower the velocity that’s from what i know

also the reg i remember i asked Ernest when uses the mutant standard he says

The mutant reg is consistent at 125b and above

i will make reg tests for myself later just for my curiosity ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Dman I reverse the last washer after seeing Endo post tread pic.

Would it be beneficial to reduce the reg pressure to 135 bar on the shorty ?

~ Greg

Greg it must be cleaning time lol

I just snapped this pic yesterday

Looks like you gotta flip the 2nd one in from end…

Starting at end. )()()()()()()()()()

You can try any pressure you like but me and ernest both found that these prefer the higher regulator pressures

Thanks keyser soze you kept me from using my Dremel again ! :biggrinn:

Nice shooting buy the way, I’m not allowed to take any pictures of my kills on the farms that I do pesting on. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
We have this agreement and understandings with the property managers there.

I’m getting 3 mags = 36 shot from a 220 bar fill down to 115 bar with JSB 16g @ about 810 fps.

I also did some early spring cleaning and took my Short to bits for the first time to remove all the excess lube from the factory.

The regulator read 146 bar written in red, sorry no pic.

Also on the extra washer on the end should it be reversed or like in my picture with the last 2 in the same direction ?
Originally my last washer fell out when removing the piston not knowing its intended direction ………. or does it matter ?

Also another question, would it be any benefit to reducing the reg pressure to 135 bar ?

~ Thanks ~ Greg

Greg, Octavius
I noticed that too. I talked to Dman and he experienced the same thing with the Listone barrel. I think it may be going from an unchoked barrel to a choked barrel. Mine seems to really love to shoot the 15.89 JSB at 815. I get an amazing shot count (my shot count is 35), stable pellet and low noise at that setting. I took out a starling and a crow at 90 yards today with that set up.

Great results guys!! What is shot count from this shorty?

Greg I have that same field pod, works perfect for bullpups. I like the idea of the velcro strap. Is that from a surfboard leash? I am loving my baby too, she will do the same as yours at 50 yards. Plus she is one of the easiest guns to shoot…

The pod does take sometime to get use to, for me I shoot the best off of bags.
But the shorty requires me to use 3 of them and it get quite cumbersome if you know what I mean.

I got this strip but it seems to be out of stock at the moment.

Keyser soze,

Have you notice that the HST needs more turning to adjust the velocity or is something going on with my Shorty ?

The transfer ports on both seem to be about the same with the OEM just slightly larger.
OEM on mines is oblong, .177″x.194″

and the Taiwanese .18″ round.

update:

Couple of months ago I replaced my OEM barrel and installed the new Taiwanese one from Dman, a big THANK YOU ! :8:

With the new barrel the bushing it not needed for it’s 15mm diameter.

Clean it as best I could, boy was it dirty !

The new barrel doesn’t seem to be pellet picky like the OEM barrel I had was very, it likes just about everything JSB !
A quick zero after lead-in and at 50 yards and using JSB 16g @ 810 fps, this is a one mag group 12 shots off of my new field pod that SECoda recommended.

Thank you Greg for explanation. It is quite interesting software indeed. Slowly Iยดm learning imperial units ๐Ÿ™‚ like fps, inches or yards

quote octavius:

I install it ๐Ÿ™‚ Is there some possibility to change measure units from inch to mm ? ๐Ÿ˜€

Not available on the free version, you need to purchase the v2.10 to get that feature option.
You can install it to try for 15 days, after which you will need to buy it for $11.99 USD if you want to continue to use it.

Some added feature are, drag and drop, bullet editing and image rotating.

Hide graphic image.

I just try some old target from 2014 year of cricket

:hoot:

My distance and/or bullet hole size is not listed. What should I do?

If your target distance or bullet size are not listed in the drop down, scroll to the top of the list, select the top item, “(yards)”, “(inches)”, “(meters)”, or “(cm)” and type in the value. Distance values should be entered in yards/meters (33, 105.0, 500, etc…) and bullet sizes in inches/cm (.224, .308, 5.57, etc…). The size and distance will be initialized to the new value for all new groups until changed.

Perhaps this will help…from their FAQ section.

Cool software I downloaded and installed the free version, Happy Thanksgiving !!
