Now, these aren’t the Kodiak’s, these are the JSB 18.1 Exacts. I shot the rest of my kodiaks at a tree to get rid of them, These Exacts have replaced the Kodes For Ever. Cleaned the barrel, oiled the pellets and sighted in (almost dead on) by shooting off hand at two birds. First bird, head shot but was aiming at center body mass. Second Bird, hit barely to the right, adjusted for this, and the gun was for the most part sighted in. Kodes have NEVER shot that nice out of my gun.
I received a nasty email, I guess from a member here, no name, openly stating that what I had previously said I was capable of is a lie. Well, here are my First Groups Ever with the JSB’s, I love my Condor 😀
BTW, all of these groups are shot at 1,215 f.p.s. average. (Chrony’ed it)
Yes, this is an Offhand group. As I said in a previous thread, I have been sharpshooting for years, and for an airgun shooting pell’s over Mach 1, I’d like to think this is a damn good group. (looks Like I shot Washington’s head, then neck off 😈 )
This isn’t my best, but this is in a 23 MPH crosswind, after dark with the target paper lit by a flashlight on a stand, and yes, at 40 yards 😎

😆 Come on guys, give him a break! Plenty noobs come on here thinking they know better. Some express that more forcefully than others! We gave RJ a bit of a hard time to start when he came on stating he was shooting at a gazillion fps… Turns out what he meant was he got good enough groups at 50 odd yrds to hunt with at those speeds. I think we see a good group as either stacking pellets at 50s and 60s and sub 1″ at 100. A lot of these guys are happy to group in 2″ at 50 as long as the pellet is going sonic!
If they start flapping their gums about stacking pellets at those speeds, then I call bullshit. And showing 20 yrd groups don’t count either!! I can fart pellets well at that range.
If we start treating this place like a private club, it will become so.

This thread is all effed up anyways so it’s good place to ask this question….To those that have been here at least one year or have 1000 or more posts. Do you find yourself coming on here and you see a new guy getting mouthy or smart ass and your knee jerk reaction is to think S.T.F.U.? I know I do. I usually just move on but this one I just couldn’t let go without asking. Just sayin……
Put a hunk of steel in front of it, and mark where the sensors are.
That way when you miss you will just hit steel. Sure, you may get hit with a ricochet, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take. 😆

Soft chrono might do it.
Be nice if it was a simple timer. mmmmm
Voltar, you should put a chronograph out close to the targets and see if you can get actual speeds on target. That would answer a lot of questions.

Sam, to get 1500 or 1600 it would nearly be feathers for weight.
So I don’t think accuracy would be that great…. but worth testing.
I think I’m tapped out at that 1475fps and the average for say 10 shots is more like 1400. Can’t see higher without using helium.

You know, if you spend enough time on these forums, you get a feel for who you can trust and who is full of shit. I trust Walter and I believe him when he says he got accurate groups with a high speed SS pellet.
But before some novice reads something extraordinary into that, let me point out that even if the diablo pellet left the gun at 1400 fps and stayed laser accurate to 100 yard… it was no fucking near supersonic past 25 yards or so. The physics just don’t provide for it. Going a couple hundred FPS above SS with a diablo pellet (let’s stipulate that it stays super accurate) only buys you the equivelent of getting 10-20 yards closer to the target.
I love going for high power be it high velocity or huge FPE but I keep seeing threads that appear to assume that getting up to 1200-1500 fps with a light diablo buys a whole new realm of long range USMC sniper like capabability. That’s just BS.

There were two guys with me and they were indeed impressed.
Next time out there I’ll at least laser the distance 🙂
