Mouning Scope on Cricket
I got 25 back from repair. Stupid lay gun on side where side lever rubs on plate and dinged it up. Non the less long story short gun is 4 mils low and one mil left when scope is optically zeroed at 25 yards. I have burris with inserts and will try to get it back as close as possible. I tried differant mounts too and they are spot on with the burris with the Zero inserts on rings. I took more care this time to have scope optically centered and it bothers me why its out that much. Is it normal? BTW gun shoots one holers at 25 yards with AA pellets for a whole clip. I am real happy with that because AoA had a 20 yard 5 shot group that was far from one holer. To make matters worse i lost the instruction sheet for the burris mounts so i guess i will have to find some on internet.

High or extra-high for a better cheek weld.
FYI I learned that Medium rings on a cricket with a 44mm scope won’t work. Not easily anyway. Scope has to be way to far fwd so end is in front of the mounting rail. Sent back for high mounts!
I just love them too. Can’t say enough about them. Imagine having your scope that close to center. Its amazing how clear it is.
I agree people should watch the video Burris has on them and they will sell themselves.

The medium rings are very low. But you will have to check when you get scope. My Hawke has a big eye piece and would be awfully close to rail. I have a pair of medium here I didn’t even try them.

So how do you know which ones to order. I may have screwed up. I bought the BSA 4X14X44 and ordered the Med rings. Think they will work????????
Man I am sold on those Zee rings, I watched a couple vids about them to understand exactly how the shims work and such and I am definatley going to pick a set of those up next paycheck hopefully 8-). I wish Ted would make a video about these instead of those overpriced FX rings 😕 ahh well…..brand loyalty right?

Last time i did that I almost kinked scope. Hawke was good enough to replace it.Go with the Burris Zee Signature rings with inserts you will never look back
DID a lot of searching and this is where I ended up. Used a med set of UTG rings on my cricket .22 with a 4X14X44 BSA FFP scope. Set turrents to middle of their travel and was 4 in low at 10 yards. Just a ½ off on horizontal. I then took a COKE can and cut some perfect strips of aluminum. I ended up putting 3 strips which were .004 each for a total of .012 under the rear part of scope which brought shot to within ½. Scope is snugged down but not overly tight. Has this been done before, is it actually except able even if it’s not professional. What do you think!!
That scope has 30 MOA adjustment. i started at 50 yards, bottomed the scope out then up 5 clicks (I don’t like scopes to go to the bottom and top of the turret stop) I had to further raise POI 7 clicks which will give me about 1.25 full turns on the top and 3/4 turns on the bottom. That will give me 24 min at 100 up. I think this scope could be used for long range. To be honest I have’t worked out the drops to dope this scope yet so I don’t know how well it will do dialing in at 60-120 yards. I’ll report back after I test this scope’s ability to return to zero.

When setting up scope do you recall how much you had to turn up the elevation to get it sighted in?

I have the highs on 22 and extra high on 25. The 25 has a higher cheek piece and works good. Otherwise the extra high would be too high with factory cheek piece
