Q:

Mouning Scope on Cricket

I got 25 back from repair. Stupid lay gun on side where side lever rubs on plate and dinged it up. Non the less long story short gun is 4 mils low and one mil left when scope is optically zeroed at 25 yards. I have burris with inserts and will try to get it back as close as possible. I tried differant mounts too and they are spot on with the burris with the Zero inserts on rings. I took more care this time to have scope optically centered and it bothers me why its out that much. Is it normal? BTW gun shoots one holers at 25 yards with AA pellets for a whole clip. I am real happy with that because AoA had a 20 yard 5 shot group that was far from one holer. To make matters worse i lost the instruction sheet for the burris mounts so i guess i will have to find some on internet.

I’ve had really good luck with the Millett Grabber rings. I can mount and take scope off without loosing the POI.

I got the ATP72’s yesterday and mounted them on the Cricket today. Haven’t shot anything yet, but I get great cheek weld with these mounts. Not everyones cheekbones are the same, but these mounts are near perfect height for me.

Will probably do some shooting tomorrow, I’ll report back after.

Can you post a picture of rings from the other side? Thanks

Those who have invested in the SM ATP72’s please update us on how they perform on the Cricket. I want to know if the height is enough to get a good cheek weld and good sight picture with the cheek piece attached. Also include the yardage you zeroed at and the scope used….thanks!

Ok, I went with the expert opinions of my fellow air gunners and too ordered the AT072 sports match rings and will be here two weeks before I get my replacement Cricket. There is just way too much talent and knowledge no to head there advice.

$135 bucks 😮

What´s the going rate for a Kidney these days anyway ? :fishinghole:

I sold my left kidney and ordered me a pair of those Sportmatch ATP72. I have previous good experiences with Sportsmatch, I just hope they are high enough and that I will not need windage adjustment with them. Since they are good quality, the mounts themselves should be well centered so I hope the same goes for the Cricket rail and barrel… Will let y’all know how they work, they should be here ’till next weekend or so.

Exactamento ! The 1 pinch bolt design is wimpy and while it may be enough for sub 16 ft. Lbs shot at the Range i don’t think it will cut it at field use.
SM’s are good and proven rings and while a bit more expensive i believe you’ll get the extra moneys worth there.

Those FX No Limit’s suck! Flimsy bits at best. Check them closely before you plunk out the Cash ..

Yeh im not impressed with them… kinda like a knock off sports match that they tried to make more adjustment…. Only 1 pinch bolt and no way of dialing them in. you got loosen and adjust with hands… shitty design. the sports match ones are worth the extra coin and they have a small screw you can dial it in and put the cross hairs right on the mark.

I think i’m going to have to go with the FX No-limit high rings, flexibility for tomorrow and I have a 80 bucks credit with AOA. :2cents:

I ordered a set of Burris Zee signature rings for 22 cricket as well. Now that I can bring it back to optical zero. I used to send them to hawke for that

hmmm…. Yeh that is true…..

I guess the burris would be the way to go….

If you need to adjust the windage that would not help you any. But it would help getting elevation spot on
