Mouning Scope on Cricket
I got 25 back from repair. Stupid lay gun on side where side lever rubs on plate and dinged it up. Non the less long story short gun is 4 mils low and one mil left when scope is optically zeroed at 25 yards. I have burris with inserts and will try to get it back as close as possible. I tried differant mounts too and they are spot on with the burris with the Zero inserts on rings. I took more care this time to have scope optically centered and it bothers me why its out that much. Is it normal? BTW gun shoots one holers at 25 yards with AA pellets for a whole clip. I am real happy with that because AoA had a 20 yard 5 shot group that was far from one holer. To make matters worse i lost the instruction sheet for the burris mounts so i guess i will have to find some on internet.

so they make them for a pica tinny rail???
OK guys found the FX No Limits mounts at AoA. 80 bucks. See how they turn out. I will keep you posted

I use it same principle as the edgun rail i give it a slight tilt at the back so gives a lot longer range

The sportsmatch from tawns dont have a patch on the hawke droop compensator mate i have both and sportsman was twice the price the hawk ave a wheel what works like open sights if u get me each turn is a click of the wheel so easy adjustment up and down not overly heavy too i have good quality two piece mounts what weigh about same weight if you decide on sportman shop around tawns gun shop s very over priced and most his items come from usa too you could try raw martin rutherford alot of tawns goid come from him 😉

Didn’t realize FX made a mount for picatinny rail? I think they are only for dovetail. ….. Those are nice, but they lack one thing. A fine adjustment screw.
FX basically copied Sportsmatch and the fine adjustment screw is probably patented….
with the sports match you can dial them right in and not even have to touch your scope turrets… where as them FX i don’t think you can get them as close cause your doing it by hand.
Yup I might have to pass on the $200 rings. Sob. I haven’t tried to see what the Burris inserts sill give me. They might bring it close enough. I’ll be a happy man if they do.

I’m going to check out the FX No Limits mounts that FX introduced during shot show 2014. See if Jim has any. $150 plus is a lot of money for mounts.

I’m think I might order a few pairs of the sportsmatch…. Hopefully they’ll ship to me in the US don’t know why no one carries them here…

Those Larue mounts really merit a S&B or March scope to stay in class. 😉
Good topic. I am thinking of a larue mount for .177 cricket. Would 10 or 20 moa offset be preferred?
These are the droop compensator mounts there height adjustible at back giving great long range shooting or if u run out of elevation
