Mrodair Compressor Guinea Pig
Hello, a newbie to PCP’s here.
I put in a pre-order for the upcoming Mrodair “Airmax” compressor
Thus, far just an automated acknowledgment receipt from Yahoo and haven’t heard anything more re ETA.
Yep, guinea pig ordering a new product. Hopefully it works out.

Just about everything you pick up these days say made in China, I remember the days of the penny and dime store of jap crap, I was just a kid, WE the USA was over there telling them how to build things and to help them, After the war we had thousands of people helping rebuild there factory’s and city’s
That’s not the case in China,
Just saying, But if I was buying something machine wise that was 1,300 in china or 2000 in USA, 700 bucks is not chump change, But when something goes wrong 700 bucks is nothing….

The guy from MRODAIR cancelled my order today no problem easy as pie and he insisted that I got bad Intel on the compressor which might just be the case. I will not say other wise that is why I stepped off the post. He claims they are doing great in Europe and Edgun dealers in Europe are pushing them again this might be true who am I to say. He said that the reservoir add on is not necessary and a luxury. He doesn’t include it to keep the price down which is nice. My concern was communication and the way information is presented. I scare easily from other deals I have had with airguns. This compressor may be the deal of the year. I won’t bash it because I don’t have one. I won’t bash it because I never used one and don’t know anyone who has. I might have only needed to spend another 50.00 to get a great compressor that would met my needs. I was worried about over heating that was my concern. However again this unit might just hold up great with an added on reservoir. Now looking over their site MRODAIR has a lot going on maybe why communication was limited. I have no grievances with Max. He was gentleman. And guess what this might just be a GREAT DEAL. Soon too see. Don’t kid yourselves lots a great stuff is made in China.

Problem is that “some US Company will likely be owned by some International Subsidiary or that company will be financed with foriegn capitol or stocks that were purchased by foriegn investors, they will likely use Immigrant labor, assemble components or use raw resources imported from abroad, and will fabricate their products using import tooling and/or outsourced designed and implemented robotic production systems throughout their factory. Face it, even the most mundane office accessory in such a business is produced and imported for consumption from an International Source.
I have no answers but just pointing out how I see it… Let’s face it, It is truly an International economy and the World is really a much smaller place than it once was before the communication age. :2cents:
I just have the problem with Kansas. Any where else in the USA would be perfectly fine. just as soon as some US Company joins the competition I’ll be damn happy to try one of their compressor.

What I was saying is. I hear people saying the same thing about stuff made in China being cheaply made. Just like I heard people say about stuff made in Japan in the early 60’s when I was a kid. Sorry KS just cause you never heard it said doesn’t make it untrue. Not sure where KS got the idea I was arguing with him to begin with. I did supply a link talking about the cheaply made goods as a example.
I didn’t mean for it to sound like I was calling Mr Shelen the asshole of Kansas I apology for that. I was meaning to say that Kansas is the asshole of the world and I don’t support the Kansas economy.
What the hell, All I got out of that was the Chinese are trying to screw the Japanize over a TV set,,, Did I miss the point somewhere.?

Mike after reading your post quoted above I feel compelled to explain a fallacy to you because based on your above quote I suspect you do not understand Formal and Informal Fallacies and how they diminish your argument. So ,in your prior post you committed a logical fallacy. The above post you used false analogy which is an inductive argument which falls under the category of informal fallacy called ” Fallacies of Relevance. You compared the Harbor freight shop compressor to a HPA compressor in order to prove the quality of a Chinese HPA compressor. Although the Harbor Freight compressor does compress air it’s similarity to the HPA compressor ends there because of the extra stress put on a HPA machine due to high pressures required of HPA machines.
The second time you use a false analogy was comparing post war Japan to China today. Although both China and Japan are both Asian countries their similarity both culturally and economically end there. Using Japan as an example of producing cheap goods and then transitioning to high quality manufacturing over a 40 year period as reason to purchase a Chinese HPA compressor purpose built to save cost is a false analogy.
So in conclusion. comparing one thing to another based on superficial similarities or while ignoring fundamental dissimilarities that matter is a problem, and that problem’s name is false analogy. It is not logical to compare two things that are different in important ways. For instance, grocery stores and banks are similar in that they are businesses that serve customers. I have an expectation to be treated a particular way by workers in those businesses (“the customer is always right” kind of thing). But schools and businesses are dissimilar in this regard. Students are not “customers” who come to buy the product of “knowledge,” and as we know, “the student is always right” is a dangerous maxim. So if someone tries to say that schools should treat students like stores treat customers, we should object by saying that they these aren’t really comparable. Yes, banks and schools and grocery stores have many, many similarities: they are all housed in building; they all have employees; they all have painted walls and carpeted or tiled floors; they have windows; they have people who walk around them. The list of similarities could go on and on. However, it’s critical that we recognize that in at least one fundamentally significant way they are dissimilar and so we should resist any comparison that depends on us ignoring this important and relevant dissimilarity.

I think he caterers more to the divers now, But if your spending that kind of money it does not hurt to call around, Just talk to the people that build them , Not just sell them!!!!!!!!!!
I fill my great white from 3000 to 4800 psi in about twenty minutes,,, I really need to time it that way I will know when to change the oil, But I will change it once a year if it needs it are not…

only problem I see is Shelden lives in Kansas. I won’t support the Kansas economy no matter how cheap I could find a compressor from the asshole of America. I was born and raised there 60 miles from Shelden shop.

I sure hope the cheap china compressors work out and are not a DUD, I think it will help the PCP hobby,,, and the more it grows the more it helps out the small hobby guy , I looked at them . But decided to go with the USA built Sheldon compressors.
