It is a no name scope. all the marking are ETCH 6-24 x 50
Setting was on 24x
Its the one in one of my old threads with MICRO fine crosshairs and a single dot in the centre.
Dave
What scope and what mag you shooting with??
😛 Well… its a brand new barrel from BSA, still had all that gunky oil/grease shit in the bore, probably had maybe 50 pellets through it.
Didn’t bother to clean out the grease, just shot it out 😀
It can only get better with some lead down the bore.
Dave
Im from not so sunny England 😀
It was the first outing with a new barrel so Hopefully need some pellets through her to settle down.
I can say that I am happy with it at the moment but I will sure be getting you guys some 5 shot groups some time soon
I thought I would end it on that Cheaters group so that I could end on a good day with a smile on my face. Out rabbit lamping tonight and will report back with some pictures

SETTLE DOWN? If it gets any better than that, I am out of the
competition without another shot fired….lol

Dave Man!! That just don’t count, why the hell didn’t you do the last 2!!?? Well, I know why and I would have been asceeeerd as you!!!
Excellent shooting!!
Well ricocheted shots off the grass and shooting sub MOA sounds like them
there mountain boys in Arkansas… I think they call’em Hillbilly’s… You ain’t
from Arkansas now is ya Dave?
😀 I was lying in a wet field, with long grass that I kept on clipping and had nothing to rest the rear of the rifle on.
Wasn’t the best conditions and I didn’t feel as steady as I have done before

I managed a sub MOA group today. But it was only a 3 shot group 😀 Didn’t want to shoot any more with fear it was going to open up 😀

I miss my edgun… but “I made the right decision” (said over and over again) almost makes me think I did 🙁
I’m sorry to say this but I’m glad you miss your Edgun!
It looks like a .25 Edgun is in my future!!
Will be doing some 100 yrd groups soon….
Tremble o mortal ones for Pabl… Balls, who I’m I trying to kid, hopefully I’ll hit the paper….. :twak:
Pabs, To ensure you will hit the paper, I think you could source some 22″ X
28″ Poster Board and a box of Crayola Crayons to mark the targets.

I have been playing with the reg and hammer spring tension. I had lowered the reg a little more and increased the tension. Got to the range, first shot 1014 WTF. Backed the spring out and was at 944 and got about 25 shots on the reg. Next fill, first shot 933? as were the next few. I am out to the end of the spring adjuster and thought that the set screw didn’t have a good bite and the adjuster had loosened.
Turned it in some re filled and was at 957 and stayed in the 950s for 46 shots. Groups were good. Re filled and first shot in the low 940s, for 25 or so shots. Thought that the adjuster had loosened again, and turned it in some. It hadn’t loosened that time, I was in the 970s now.
Where I have the reg set right now, I get higher speeds after a spring adjustment, for the first fill, and lower speeds by 10-15fps on following fills. I spent the rest of the night trying to re find the sweet spot I had earlier. I know it is in there some where.
The groups that I posted were from the end of the day. IIRC, the gun was shooting in the mid 940s.
Before I first adjusted the regulator, I sent Ed an email. I asked him, if he owned my gun, what he would do to it to get JSB 25.4 grain pellets shooting in the regulated and consistant range of 940-960. His answer? “Reduce the regulator pressure down to 130 bars”. Mine was marked 157 (bars?) I am now 1/2 turn lower than factory setting. Later tonight I am going to set it 1 full turn out and try it tomorrow night.
As Ed set the gun up, it would have been killer with a good pellet in the 30-40 grain range. I tried the 35.8 grain Eunjin pellets, and they shot great, if I was interested in shooting barn doors at 100 yards. I am after smaller game than that.
I want it shooting in the mid 940s to mid 950s for 40 shots. That speed is where it is the most accurate. I know it is in there some where.
In the first 6 days I have gone thru three 350 count tins of JSBs
I love this gun!
Tedd and I can’t seem to get through a full fill without the FPS changing…. It is rising
as the psi drops…. 20-25 shots are accurate and then things seems to go
south from there…. Mine is doing great from 2,900 to 1,400psi but, any more
or any less psi and things are scattered….

I’m gonna stick my Viper back on so I can get some decent mag. I’ve got decent 1.75 ish groups at 100 with times ten, but it really does feel like a guessing game….
