Q:

My EdGun Matador R3M 22 cal

I received my Matador (01/05/2014) in absolutely perfect condition and in 3 days !
I enjoyed talking to Tony R, he is easy to joke around with so much so I forgot to order some extra Brass rings ! 😳

2+3 extra mags, 2 valve stems and an extra fill probe.

I fill to 220 bar and shot down to 110 bar using JSB 18g, here the out of box chrony results with a 920 fps average.

I refilled to 200 bar and got 50 good shots down to 120 bar.
I haven’t cleaned the barrel yet, 5 shot group at 50 yards with little wind.

5 shot group 75 yards with little wind.

At rest on my chrony/work bench, I can’t wait for this weekend hopping it doesn’t rain !!

Thanks for l@@king !

Greg, are you using a similar system to Ed’s tension nut when attaching the CAN? Have you had many alignment issues? Your shooting partner is having a very very good birthday!! Amazing creation, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sir !

Yes, and it also allows the air pressure to back follow into the factory shroud.
But mines doesn’t show the connection joint onto the shroud, it looks seamless.

The muzzle hole and the internal first stage on my designs are very close to the actual caliber size to be effective enough in sound suppression for its volume.
I have to install it for him to check the alignments, because of which it needs a custom tweak for each unique gun and its tuning.
I have a method and precise jigs to check for exact alignments of all internal parts when making and after when installed onto the gun also.

After which I haven’t had any issues with clipping with any I’ve made for all my other Airguns so far.
But than, there’s nothing that beats him trying to out do himself at 100+ yards on paper he did before the new mod was added.

That is the main reason why I can’t seem to offer mine for sale, it’s just to hard for me to assume every owner can easily calibrate it themselves.

~ Greg , p.s. my friend said he is going to be the driver for us for a year when we go out to the farms to do pest control !

The offset LDC you see in front was given to my shooting buddy for his birthday yesterday.
It’s for his Eddie 25 cal and yes it’s caliber specific and a bit longer as well.

Guys, you should have seen the expression on his face when he opened the box,,,, ,, he thought he was getting more condoms ,, ,, , it was priceless !!! :biggrinn:

Are you using medium height rings now?

No, their low 24mm to center of scope tube and 54mm to scope center to bore.

Thanks guys !

Not having to actually possess a Ed’s version I don’t know its specs.

But mine I made from stock that I had laying around my shop.
Mines is a fat boy and measures 1.7″ = 43mm OD and has a OAL of 6″.
The muzzle hole I made a couple hundreds smaller than the OEM and is .25″ in diameter, I closed/taped off all but 2-3 back port holes on the back of the shroud.

ya, I refuse to go higher so I need to move my scope back a 1/4″ or so for the cap lid to clear.

Did I mention that it’s very quiet, I can hear the pellet sizzling out of the muzzle ! 😆

Mad skills, Greg, waiting with anticipation on the detail!!!

It looks really good man. Externally, it looks exactly like the one Ed designed. Is it the same outside diameter as Ed’s? How much clearance do you have with your scope caps?

Superb! !

I just completed my homemade Offset LDC, it doesn’t add length to the standards OAL.
The internals are a bit different then the OEM, and is more quieter now just as quite as my Cricket 22 std with a Donny’s slip on tuned to the same fpe !
I can’t give all the 411 on this one guys, sorry it’s not for manufacturing and sale !

thanks for l@@king !

Woo hoo, bang bang, pew pewwwwwwwwwwwww……….

I do the same as Robert, slide an O ring behind the locking collar. Never comes loose.

Thanks Keyser soze, I’ll try it again.
