Q:

My Edgun R3 is finally here!

Edgun R3 .25 Long serial #0249 finally arrives after a long but very worthwhile wait.

Tony did a great job packing. The rifle was double boxed along with thick protective foam wrapped around each end and popcorn to fill any additional gaps.

This shipment has the new stainless steel bolt and a new breech. Internally it also has a new and more efficient valve.

The trigger doesn’t look like it has changed.

She will be getting a new scope soon but for now is wearing the Mueller 4.5-14×40 Tactical scope http://muelleroptics.com/mt451440

Thank you Ed! Thank you Tony!

Trust me I know i wont be disappointed, the problem i had was that i emailed tony a few weeks prior to that first shipment you are referring too…and he told me that he hadn’t received a shipment from ed since last august…he told me id have my matador late 2013..so i went ahead and did some remodeling on my house with that money….then about 3 weeks after BAZINGA i get the magic email…I didnt know what to do because i had spent the money…but luckily the price of gold is really high and i had a chain i hadn’t worn in years which i sold and got the full payment ready for the matador….i was shitting bricks for a hot minute but luckily all im awaiting now is the confirmation that the edguns have arived and to send in my payment for shippment

UGMJ, a shipment just arrived and the next one is supposedly right behind it. My Lelya came last week after nearly a ten month wait.

Awesome little kit, the craftsmanship is astonishing, it’s like a miniature Matador, you are in for a treat when you Matador arrives!!!

It has a place of honor next to my pride and joy, my Mac-1 USFT. If you want to check out what I would consider a spectacular example of the good things about this country check out the USFT. Designed and fabricated with love in SoCal, I get almost 100 shots from a 1600psi to 1300psi fill.

It can easily group five 177 pellets at 55 yards under 1/2″. It was designed by Larry Durham and manufactured in small batches by Tim MacMurray. I have shot field target matches with these guys and I would imagine spending some time with Ed would leave me with a similar feeling.

Keep up the good work Ed! Thanks for the Lelya, it’s awesome!!

Really..cause i got my email the 14th of this month and tony informed me shipment of the edguns will be ready around the 10th of march.

Well got the email 10 days ago and got the EDgun 25 Standard day before yesterday. Put the SWFA scope on and went out yesterday and sighted it in for 50 yard zero. Shot the gun about 50 pellets and it seemed to run perfect. It will be a good companion to the year old 25 long that I have enjoyed so much. I hope to chrony it next week and will keep all informed.

Ed, for those of us with your new aluminum breach and stainless steel bolt that come on the newest R3, will we still need to replace the breech and bolt for the multishot/magazine kit? My guess is yes on the breech but will the bolt need to be replaced as well?

quote Kiba:

Ed, will the magazine kits also come with a single shot tray so the rifle can be used as both a single shot and multishot?

Also, I’m assuming the magazine kits will come with a new style bolt and also a new style aluminum bolt housing. Will those of us with earlier R3s that have steel bolt housings and breech blocks be able to buy a matching aluminum breech block?

Yes, all the breeches will be aluminum and new bolt with stainless handle.

anxiously awaiting the magazine kit and a HUGE thank you for making it something we can put on our existing rifles.

also excited about a .30 cal Edgun. Can not wait to see how it performs.

thanks Ed

Regardless of what the reg comes pre set to, I’m still going to throw a few hundred-thousand’s of rounds through the gun…being that its a new toy and all….but after that if I felt like it wasn’t doing what I wanted than adjusting the reg would be my next step….plus taking apart the gun is great to learn what you have and to further your knowledge of the inner working of what you own.

EDgun magic, nothing to do with it, just accept 🙂

Why not offer the reg+HS factory adjustment for 890 fps and X regulated shots for a fee to those who want it?

quote Ed:

The next delivery will be set to 890 f/sec with hammer spring, not with the regulator, thus you will have quite a silent shot and more shots per feel, rather then with tuning down the regulator to 120 bar instead of 130 bar.

As for magazine — we are working on it and as I told you before, there will be KIT one can buy for quite a normal money and change his gun from single shot to multyshot, so it is up to you — either to wait for magazine for the period of time I even cannot estimate now or to by single shot and then turn it into multyshot easily.

Magazine Kit = :thumb:

Damn it Ed!

I know that you have a video that showed you shooting a 9 mm prototype Edgun.

I immediately ordered one from Tony and I think that I was first on the US list for one.

Now you say that the new Matador will be a 30 cal! I am going to have to email Tony again to get on that list also! When you release the 30 cal/9 mm I want one!

I REALLY HATE WAITING FOR EDGUNS! 😆

It seems like I have spent the last 4 years of my life waiting for a UPS box from Tony! 😆

quote Ta_2011:

Hello, Ed

Do you have price for Edgun 9 mm yet?
when can I get on the waiting list with Tony?

Thank you so much in advance

Ta

Not yet, as for .30 I think I will be able to keep the same price, without raising it up.

As for 9 mm — we go there step by step I plan to make in the summer time 31 EDgun Matador long in .30 cablier, I assume the most of them would go to USA 🙂
