Q:

My Edgun R3 is finally here!

Edgun R3 .25 Long serial #0249 finally arrives after a long but very worthwhile wait.

Tony did a great job packing. The rifle was double boxed along with thick protective foam wrapped around each end and popcorn to fill any additional gaps.

This shipment has the new stainless steel bolt and a new breech. Internally it also has a new and more efficient valve.

The trigger doesn’t look like it has changed.

She will be getting a new scope soon but for now is wearing the Mueller 4.5-14×40 Tactical scope http://muelleroptics.com/mt451440

Thank you Ed! Thank you Tony!

Supplier in U S A??

Airguns of Arizona has it but it’s not on their website so you have to call them.

Nice brass one comes with dowdy fitting seal

Supplier in U S A??

That’s a nice deal, has the dust plug for the female fitting too. πŸ˜‰

You need one of these from Joe…

I don;t know the difference between the “dowdy” seal and the non-sealing version of this part. I’m sure Joe will let you know the difference. I’m guessing we need the seal…

I may need to get two since I have an AA pistol on the way from TGAG.

I e mailed Joe but sometimes he is busy and takes a while
(mispelled his name)

I’m in the same boat. My Lelya just arrived and I don’t have anything but the fill end.

Looks like I need a female whatever so I can attache my thingy that I fill my USFT with. πŸ˜•

Yeah, I know, i’m no help. πŸ˜†

Scope rings on order

Great information oldgoat! I’ll go to the hardware store today after work and buy some. Thank you πŸ˜€

Varminter, I thought that I would save time by searching for the mod and doing a cut and paste. I wasted a half hour trying to find it.

I kinda covered it in my video.

I have been thinking about rounding up my mods and asking Tony if he would make a sticky for it on the Edgun section. OK; maybe not! 😳

Basically, remove both trigger screws and pitch them; buy a longer threaded 3 mm X .80 mm pitch allen head screw and use a file to round off the threaded end of the screw. You want to make the threaded screw’s end as rounded and as smooth as you can.

Put it in the screw hole that is closest to the trigger. Keep turning the screw in until the gun will no longer cock and then back it out some. DO NOT dry fire the gun! Cock it, lightly hold the cocking handle back and pull the trigger. I know that sounds like a no brainier but, the Matador doesn’t like that! As a couple of no brainiers have found out!

Fine tune from there.

If you have any questions, PM me.

I’m looking forward to seeing your results once you are able to compare the .25 Standard to the .25 Long.

Can someone please post the link to oldgoat’s trigger mod for the Edgun R3?
