Mystery Box!!!
Wife called to tell me that a mysterious box was delivered home!
I arrived and saw it. Was waiting for it for long time

I opened the box and it’s love at the first sight!!!

It’s my new 25 Cal Vulcan!

Now the discovery journey will start!

No Vulcan is complete without the Atlas rail and a matching bypod

Good job ❗
I like to set my safety after a shot if I am not planning to fire another right away.
And I set it before loading another magazine.
Just a little extra precaution that should not be totally relied upon.
You should see the hole for it between the safety slide mounting screws and an even tinyer hole in the slide itself. I thought that tinyer hole should have been bigger but it workd real good with the tiny ballbearing.
So I got a bearing ball 5/32″ and could not find such thin spring so stuffed rubber in there below the ball. Safety works like a charm now!
In the mean time ordering a spring from ebay to replace the rubber later.
Benj, ville, Hoot,
Thanks! I will try the wood screw approach then.
:hoot:
Ditto…that’s what I did and it works just fine! Pre-drill pilot holes to prevent wood splitting.
Hoot:
Thanks in advance!
Screw away ! No worries – the forestock is quite thick. Just check the length of the screw.

OK on a very related topic to accuracy. I noticed while shooting how much I missed my Atlas bipod (or any bipod for that matter). I used a rest bag but still prefer a bipod. So my question is what is the best way to install the weaver trail on the vulcan? I had done it before successfully on cricket stock but I noticed the stock on the vulcan forarm is quite thinner and worried that the method i used on the cricket (wood screws) would not work there. Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Hoot,
You will be happy to know that Texas had gone long way since you left old man. Folks here no longer ride mules (which I suspect you may had multiple usage for). We all drive Fords now. You should come and visit.
Indoor indeed. As I said this was the best groups but others were still below 0.75″ CTC which is not impressive but good given the young age of the gun (unborken) and the fact I did not feel I had good handle on the gun yet (untamed).
The more I look at it Hoot I think your right…..
:hoot:
Don’t get your pants in a wad just yet, Zonk…those are six (6) inch squares on that target, and those holes have been punched out with a 1/2″ iron rod to make it look proportional.
Awny couldn’t hit a hog, or a deer, unless it was on top of him attempting penetration…Hell, considering what part of Texas he lives in, he probably wouldn’t even try to stop the damn thing!
Just saying is all…..just saying…..I lived in Texas for 20 years, and it gets lonely out there where Awny lives!!! It takes him a half day by horse just to get out to the dirt road.
Kind regards,
Uncle Hoot:
Very nice group Awny. It must have ben a calm day or you were shooting indoors.
Nice group there

eelect,
+1 on the bipod. I can’t have a Bullpup without one.
