Q:

New R3 .25…..damaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I literally received my R3 .25 just 5 minutes ago from UPS, but there’s some very serious problems.

1. The case zipper is completely cut through on each side.

2. But, wait a minute. Holy cow!!!! The walnut stock is completely cracked. If I pull on it with the sightless effort, I’m sure that whole piece would fall off.

I can understand damage can occur during transport, but there’s no visible damage to the containing box. I can’t believe I waited 9 months and paid $2050.00 for this.

Tony – I sent you a mail. Please advise.

ONCE AGAIN: I emailed everyone who did not receive the shipments yet, asking to inspect the item before the UPS driver leaves.
I can’t make the claim by myself since I have no proof of item being damaged, however I’m here to confirm that everything has left Florida in pristine condition.
In addition to using oversized boxes and plenty of peanuts all boxes are clearly maked with large red “FRAGILE” stickers on both sides.

I just get another e-mail from Tony about Edgun has been damage by UPS and he asked me to check my package well since it’s arrive during driver at present.

I would say it’s a excellent service of Edgun’s owner & Tony to notify their customer what happen to other of their customer packages has been damage by UPS carrier.

I would said thank you to Edgun’s owner & Tony to delivery an excellent Edgun and their service A+++++

When. I filed a claim on a Craftsman toolbox that was damaged. I just took pictures and sent those to UPS and they paid the claim to the guy that shipped it to me. I had to get my money back from him. Maybe they’ve changed the process.

Seems worst case scenario is you get a new stock from Tony or have steve cocoran make you one.

Best scenario is that I buy the EDgun at the UPS damaged goods auction for $100!!!!

i think tony needs to go up on shipping charges and double box the guns from now on,i mailed off my used edgun a few days ago and double boxed the gun and stayed there and inspected the boxing process, and when i left i felt good about the UPS SLAM DUNKERS not breaking the gun,it did cost more but i slept well knowing the new owner of a hard to get edgun would be happy when it arrived.

The box was opened by UPS guys and even if was packed in three boxes it wouldn’t protect the guns from idiots.

yes, I filed a claim this morning. I assume UPS will be contacting Tony for details on the packaging.

Thanks again for all your support guys.

BTW – I have a Back surgery (2 herniated disks) scheduled for tomorrow morning. Injury from too much golf. So, in case anyone wonders why I maybe MIA for next few days – I’ll be in the hosiptal.

Best Regards,
James

ED, it’s comforting to know you stay connected with your extended family, knowing our pain is yours. Kind regards.

Ok I see my questions have been answered in Samurai’s post above. Bottom line is Edgun is not going let this drag on for months no matter what the out come is with UPS. AT least thats my thoughts for what little their worth!

I have question as to whom is responsible for making claim to the shipping company, in this case UPS. Is Samurai responsible for making claim or is EDgun? Who has to be the one to go up to bat in regards to getting a new stock if in fact the ups makes a stink about it. Hopefully there won’t be any issues with the claim process and the situation is taken care of in an orderly way. Perhaps Edgun already has a stock on its way! Samurai has already paid the ultimate price! SHIT happens.
Hang in there Samurai, we all feel your pain!

I answered to PM already that samuray should claim UPS but I can provide my official conclusion about it if necessary.

I’D LIKE TO ASK EVERYONE WHO DID NOT RECEIVE THE EDGUNS YET: PLEASE INSPECT THE BOX IN DRIVERS PRESENSE!

Thats a fine idea, inspecting the box is fine, opening it is a no-no.

Think about it, Women would want to try on shoes and clothes

I think 3 is wrong..

It they pay for it, they keep it, it goes to overgoods, at some point and time they may sell all the broken stuff off, I dunno.

The process is not that bad, 2-3 weeks is the norm.

Still, DROP the BOX on the end, provide them visual proof.

Your pain is our pain. A lot of us have gone through this with UPS, and it is a frustrating undertaking. However, take heart because sometimes it settles quickly.

Time will tell.
