Quick session with the cricket
This morning I went out for a quick paper punching session before the harsh South African sun gets high in sky.
I filled my Kalibrgun Cricket .25 to 220bar, cleaned the barrel with surgical spirits and got ready to send some lead.
The wind was quite strong blowing about 12-16km/h. I used shooting bags in the prone position. Not the most comfortable way, but it is stable and that matters most.
I shot three, 5 shot groups at 50m. All with JSB king 25gr straight out of the tin. I dont hunt much further than this, becuse I rarely have a stable platform. I mostly hunt out of the seated position, out of hand, or off some homemade shooting sticks.
The wind varied quite a bit, but I kept the same POA the whole time. Unforunatly I pulled one of the shots, but otherwise I am pretty happy with these 3 groups.
I would like to see what kind of groups you guys are getting.

I say go wild, come back to us when you have a result you are happy with, I will most likely be using 20x power on my scope.

Just had a look at the targets from 50m. I like the size of the bull, but the outer rings dont have to be as thick. The bull can be smaller if the shooter is using 20x magnification and more, but for 10x mag it is almost too small.
What would you guys like to have changed/added?
I printed it out from postimage and those are the measurements I got. Not perfect but not bad

The outer diameter of the biggest ring is 39mm the ID is 36mm
The OD of the second ring is 28mm and the ID is 24mm
The Diameter of the bullseye is 9mm
The squares are 38x44mm
The chicks butt is a respectable 7mm wide :rofl:

as a bonus we can see who can do the best butt shot on the girl at the top… You guys should be good at it :winkn:
Looks great to me! These online matches are fun. There’s a good one on RFC too, with good targets.

I have no Idea. I made that target on allycad and pasted it to Word, then saved it as a PDF…
I bet you guys can do a much better job, i just wanted to try.

At 50m the target should be 5cm in diameter in order to be 1 mildot if that is what you mean, 10cm or 100mm at 100m is one mildot.
2″ is 5cm if you round it up, it is about 50,8mm or 5,08cm in diameter
IMO at 50 yards/meters the size of the target needs to be 2″, at 75 – 3″ and at 100 – 5″ or nice at a magnification that will nicely fit the target within the mil dots.
But I’m guessing one could just adjust their magnification to fit before shooting ?
The targets I used above I just had around and usually used at my home range, but it’s all I had at the time to take to the farm.
In the shots above to help not letting the impact holes bother my aiming the point of aim was 1 target down.

Measuring the a4 paper you could fit 4-5 1″ rings on the short side and up to 10 on the long side, if they have a 1/2″ inner ring and a small bullseye then that is looking pretty sweet. And that is the maximum, you can add a lot more space between the target and make 10+ sighters or 20+ sighters fit nice and snug
I vote for a4 paper, that is the standard paper here in Sweden so that is what my printer can do.
I really like the idea of 10 target and 2 sighters, also 25m and 50m
Then I can do the 25m in my yard (it is 27m) and the 50m when I take the gun out.
