Q:

Quick session with the cricket

This morning I went out for a quick paper punching session before the harsh South African sun gets high in sky.
I filled my Kalibrgun Cricket .25 to 220bar, cleaned the barrel with surgical spirits and got ready to send some lead.
The wind was quite strong blowing about 12-16km/h. I used shooting bags in the prone position. Not the most comfortable way, but it is stable and that matters most.

I shot three, 5 shot groups at 50m. All with JSB king 25gr straight out of the tin. I dont hunt much further than this, becuse I rarely have a stable platform. I mostly hunt out of the seated position, out of hand, or off some homemade shooting sticks.

The wind varied quite a bit, but I kept the same POA the whole time. Unforunatly I pulled one of the shots, but otherwise I am pretty happy with these 3 groups.
I would like to see what kind of groups you guys are getting.
Cheers from the other side of the world
David

This is how it looks like, there is a download somewhere

Does it have the same measurements as the 25m? I know there is a A4 practice BR for 25m to download, I have it in my tablet

What about the one we use for BR with rimfires?

The European / Internatonal BR target ??

Something along those lines ??

To be honest, that target I made was not really serious. I think it is time for both of you to put your heads together and come up with a match grade target :angrymob:

I think your right Ville, in my perticular scope a 9mm bullseye would be almost a whole mildot at 20x 50m

Fuck the size of the OD boys. The main thing is that the bull itself is max 5mm in diam for the 50m target and max 2.5mm for 25m brethren.
If there’s numbered rings (9,8,7) too then for the 50m those shouldn’t be more than 2.5mm wide and half of that for 25m target.
A small mistake must cost points.

Ok, your the one who actually looked at it from 50m, if it is too big make it smaller

quote Cricket:

what I would like
Is for the 40mm OD to stay, that is good. What I would like different is for the second ring to be slightly smaller because then it would be 1″ right now the ID of that ring is 27mm or 1,063″ if it is possible to make it exactly 1″ that would be nice.

I would also like the bullseye 1mm bigger so it is exactly 1cm instead of 9mm

But this is just my opinion, otherwise I really like the look of this target

I can change the inner ring no problem.
I do not want to the 50m bull any bigger, otherwise the aim area is a bit too big. Aim small miss small. 😉

I am pretty young myself, that is why I though of her. Wendy on the target actually refers to Michelle from AGN (his surname is Wendt).

Man, this target looks pretty good.

OD of biggest ring is 40mm from my printer
Bullseye is 9mm
Smaller bullseye is 4mm
Squares are 40x47mm

Oh crap, that is harder. I’ve pretty muchseen all disney movies ever (I’m young okay? ) and they are really good.

Hmmm, something with a w. Wendy?

You are on the right track Cricket, but what is here name? 😉

Very nice target man, I prefer this one from the first one. I will try and print it out later, busy tight now

Is that girl not from Peter pan? I recognise her
