No kidding, tough love! Thin-skins need to check themselves at the door. :smilen: I’m nobody’s fan-boi anyway.

SeCoda I’ll try to keep my cool about being banned. Keith, I know others share your view of what’s going on over there. Including me. The Yellow is just not the same. What’s sad is I thought I was being careful with the posting of those links. It’s still a kick in the ass to be banned for an honest mistake; it’s like summary dismissal for no real reason. If it’s come to that, I’ve lost nothing there. On the bright side, i seem to be in good company! :angrymob:

Don’t take it personally. That is just the way it is operated. I think the primary purpose there is to direct noobs to the paying vendors rather than improving airgun knowledge per se. At least that is how one member told me he words his posts to keep from getting banned. 🙄

It just comes off as being very disingenuous. You can’t mention a person, dealer, etc. without getting banned, but they/he can “allow” bashing of certain people and businesses ad nauseam. If you are not going to allow one, you shouldn’t allow the other. Instead of drawing people to his forum, he’s pushing them away. We need good, adult discourse when we try to enjoy this hobby. His actions don’t promote that. Just my opinion.

Keith.

well I’ll be interested for a while longer, too. I hope both the Impact and the Huben K-1 become the next big things. Someone will produce a more economical (not cheaply built) interpretation of these design features for the masses. Maybe.

PS I think the Yellow was a bit premature in banning me. No warning. no nothing. that’s intolerance at an ugly level.

I actually wanted one until I saw that shroud. To me the prototype with the large LDC looked perfect. I had planned on making the impact a heavy .25. That is I was going to throw the 25 heavy at 930 and see if the BC was better than the 30 cal. I think it will be. I will wait until someone makes an after market shroud. Then make a decision.

darryl,

There is nothing wrong about spreading the word on something that someone else is interested in or stuff that you have questions on. When this gun comes out and its a bust or not I’ll move on to the next thing that interest me. Just like the bulldog, P12, Cricket, Edgun and prior to them the Evinax Max 3D.

quote SECoda:

Well I don’t work for anyone and I don’t want an Impact at such a ridiculous price but I am still interested in how they designed the simple adjustments so the gun operates reliably and efficiently for the various calibers.

Me too; regarding the reliability and overall quality of the Impact. I don’t think it fits in my wallet, so it’s the vicarious route for me.

Hi Keyser,
just chalk it up to naivete’ on a GALACTIC scale on my part. :butkick: So maybe Steve had a good point? I was just trying to spread the word because guys were asking for news over there.

update: apparently posting those video links on the Yellow got me banned. I can log in but can’t post anything. I was going to post that people should come to this thread to see the Impact video links. Of course i wrote to Steve asking for clarification. :3:

Darryl, now you know that all these forums are owned and paid for by airgun dealers. I am really surprised you don’t know that. I am so jaded these days that I assume that even Ronin001 has some affiliation with FX or AOA. Anytime I see someone constantly post on a single subject I assume they work for someone. I think most readers would be wise to be cautious when reading any review post. Especially when the poster spends an unusual amount of time on one subject.

lol Yeppers your jaded!

or are you??? :darth-vader:

So the valve adjustment changes the reg psi…. So if the volume of air is constant I will be interested to see the shot counts at various settings. How can it be efficient at different settings?

And then there was video #3 on the regulator adjustments.

quote RONIN001:

Michael Wendt video based off of 140’ish BAR setting

Now the one thing I am not understanding is the correlation with the valve and the regulator. Why would the valve being partialy closed and or fully open make a difference on the speed of the pellet if the regulator is what controls the amount of air pressure being used other than the hammer tension which should only use the alloted plumm space with the regulator? The valve to the bottle would maybe control how fast the regulator fills up I guess….

Don’t hold your breath on response. 😯

I hear ya.Damned shame, though. The videos looked innocent enough for me. How does he know who gets paid and who doesn’t?
