Don’t hold your breath on a response. 😯

update: apparently posting those video links on the Yellow got me banned. I can log in but can’t post anything. I was going to post that people should come to this thread to see the Impact video links. Of course i wrote to Steve asking for clarification. :3:

I did not know who and whom the ban from the Yellow effected. Maybe Steve could be helpful, and post a BANNED list?

As for the spreadsheet, this gun requires, imo, a more thoughtful approach to recording test information. With so many combinations of power adjustment available, I think it will be challenging to try to set up parameters for testing and entering data into a useful spread sheet (like the ones we’re used to seeing, with Es and Sd information across a shot string). I think starting a test with a well-known pellet that performs well in the ST barrel. The pellet would be shot at it’s maximum stable speed (using anecdotal figures known to the community), adjusting the transfer port adjustment to attain that speed before beginning the test. Setting the gun’s adjustments would begin this way, with accuracy also being observed. If someone has access to an inside shooting facility of adequate range (50+ yards) that might be the perfect test facility; no wind. Obviously this process can be thought out to the nth degree, but it might be a worthwhile discussion. :fishinghole: What test parameters would you use with this interesting gun?

Michael Wendt video based off of 140’ish BAR setting

Now the one thing I am not understanding is the correlation with the valve and the regulator. Why would the valve being partialy closed and or fully open make a difference on the speed of the pellet if the regulator is what controls the amount of air pressure being used other than the hammer tension which should only use the alloted plumm space with the regulator? The valve to the bottle would maybe control how fast the regulator fills up I guess….

I have not seen Michaels new video… He has been talking about it but has not posted it to Teds forum. Thanks for posting it.

For the YELLOW… Steve, FX and AOA are not on best terms and I think Michael might of been kicked of the forum for being affiliates to them. who knows…

Good video. That is heavier than I expected. So 8.5-9 lbs with a scope? 😯

anyone seen this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjwy2iTApgA&feature=em-subs_digest-g
I best this PCP will cost at least as much as a Pulsar, if not more.

PS I posted the earlier links on the Yellow and the post was promptly removed. I wrote to Steve asking why, but haven’t heard back. I’m hopeful he’ll re-post it.

And it appears that it’s a metal building, which probably doesn’t help any either…sound wise. He doesn’t say and I haven’t read anywhere whether or not the cocking lever is reversible?

I believe its not talked about because as of now it is not reversible because the power wheel is on the opposite side which can’t be moved. FX would need to redesign with power wheel in lower portion if possible and it would be a good selling point for the Impact.

Video # 3

This pretty informative one guys

For sound not sure but like donny said sounds louder in that closed garage. If listen you can hear an echo when he talks which shows that sound will be louder when fired also he was not shooting with pellets which makes a difference on sound. Need to shot that thing out side… I will say the shroud for the barrel should be a tad bigger.

also the video poster seems not to be aware of the Huben (when it comes to having an externally adjustable regulator and transfer port). Just sayin’, but it’s a neat project.

And it appears that it’s a metal building, which probably doesn’t help any either…sound wise. He doesn’t say and I haven’t read anywhere whether or not the cocking lever is reversible?

I was thinking the same for being on 3rd power shooting .25 with shroud extended. It does contain the bark a little but not by much. I would like a review of fps at the power settings for each calibers based on factory settings.

Shooting indoor makes it harder to judge the sound level.

Sounds loud too.

Sounds loud too.

So the barrels are slid in and are only secured at the very rear from the side? What kind of a channel are they in that holds them in position? Orings? I would not necessarily expect match accuracy like that. Should be good enough for hunting accuracy.
